These are high quality structural screws. The literature available from the manufacturer is top notch for determining the allowable loads. The torx recess is deep enough to be very secure during driving. I pilot drilled most of mine. The head is very large and has a good bearing area. I think these are very secure for their allowed rating. I am using them in shear applications attaching 1.5 inch (actual) thickness boards together on my deck and front stairs. The coating looks like it'll hold up to corrosion over time. I would buy again.

Amazing product. Ultra strong e.g. to connect double beams. Goes fully flush into the wood and seem to have a fantastic coating that also works with treated pine.

Just as advertised! Great fastener. Do have to predrill so as not to split boards.

These seem to be very strong but, the heads are big and sit on the surface of the wood, rather than sinking in. Just my opinion but, I won't be back to buy more of these because if I use them on the flooring, I will have to use another bit to counter-sink the head below the surface of the wood. Otherwise, people will be catching their feet on them. I'm not a carpenter so, maybe I'm missing something?

If you try to tighten them, they will strip and just spin.
