Size:1.5mm (~1/16")  |  Color:1ab Beige PORON cellular urethanes are engineered, medium density microcellular (cells are roughly 100 microns in diameter) foam materials. They are used in orthopedic and prosthetic applications, including custom orthotics, prefabricated orthotics, prosthetic padding and other biomechanical supports. Explaining 1AB/2AB/UAB Finishes: During the process of producing polyurethane a non-porous, unabraded, shiny "skin" forms and it is resistant to adhesives. An abraded surface is much more effective when desiring a bond with another material. Depending upon your needs, Acor can provide you with Unabraded (UAB), Single Abraded (1AB) or Double Abraded (2AB) surfaces on your polyurethane.

Good For Insoles.
I Bought the 1/4 thick 1AB. Just right for making my own insoles. I use them in my boots might be a little thick for shoes. I put the smooth side up to help my socks slide in. They last about 6 months with 60 hours a week on them. Will be able to make 9 pairs out of material.

Best home made insoles ever
Thanks to my Podiatrist for sharing information. Best home made insoles ever. Heavy Safety toe work boots on concrete are manageable now with the inserts we made.
