Art, Faith and Medicine in Tintoretto's Venice

I've found this a really valuable general guide to key issues in late Renaissance understanding of illness, anatomy, medicine and how all these things found their way back into the art of the time. The chapters are thematically rather scattered (due to the range of authors) and some are a little brief, but they're nearly all vivid and insightful.
