Angler's Tote Fishing Rod Carrier/Caddy

Overall - I love the idea. I carry multiple rods from truck to boat, and prefer them pre-rigged... and as you know, that can be a mess. This looked like the best workable solution. But it is not without its problems:1) the way its packaged. They use a double sided foam tape to keep the top and bottom portions of the rack fastened to the box... when you take them out, now they each have a large chunk of sticky tape.... so now you have to take the time to remove that with GumOut or WD40 - because dirt, hair, grime and all manner of yuck will stick to it2) The rods are held in place by the clips alone... so if you have reels on the rods (the whole point of this) - when you transport the unit, gravity takes the reels and flips them downward.... so now the tangles you're trying to avoid become a problem. My solution will be a firm bungee around the bottom quarter of the rig to keep the reels from flopping all over.Love the unit - lightweight, sturdy, can be set vertically or horizontally.... good stuff. But the rod management when reels are attached is going to be a problem.I would not buy this again - I'd simply take drop in rod holders and fasten to this type of rack for a sturdier arrangement.It did arrive much faster than anticipated - so that was nice.

It is great for storing and carrying my rods, but you need something fasten smaller rods in place or they fall off, does not fit in my smaller car easily, and after a few months it started to fall apart.

Exactly as described! Very convenient. Sturdy construction. Definitely for smaller freshwater rods and reels if you want to fill to capacity. Otherwise it would hold 3-4 larger reels.

Great 8 Rod Holder rack. Tacks up little room. Secure. I use it for storage only and not a caddy. Little pricey I thought but really worth it. You will only need to buy it once so price is warranted.

Ordered this for my husband-he was looking for a place to store some of his fishing rods and this fit the purpose. He doesn't plan on using this as a caddy, but just for storage and it works for what he needed.

plastic is slightly different from my last ones, so hopefully they will not break as easily in cold weather. This is a good way to carry multiple rods in the bed of a truck.

I bought a tote 17 years ago or longer, from this company, it was uswd regularly and lasted 15 years or so without so much as a crack. After 15 years, I would say I was satisfied enough to buy another one. The new tote didn't even last 2 fishing trips without a top rod retainer breaking, i am very disappointed, as I expected the same type of quality.

Great product -- if you have small/medium reels. You won't get 8 poles in this if you have large salt water reels. For my purposes ultra-light to medium spinning and bait casting rod/reels it is a great product. Makes transporting my poles simple and keeps them from getting tangled.
