Sewing Tales to Stitch and Love: 18 Toy Patterns for the Storytelling Sewist Paperback – October 18, 2013

The minute I saw this book I knew I wanted it. It has a wide variety of dolls/animals to create for all the little ones in your life. I was first drawn to the gnome doll on the front cover but there are so many wonderful stuffies in this book to create. Kerry wrote the book with stories to go with each creation which makes it a fun read too. There are good instructions with photos to guide you through the creating process. The patterns printed in the book need to be enlarged, but if you contact Kerry she will email you the full size patterns. For any one loving to create stuffed toys this book is a must have.

This book has the most adorable projects in it! A friend of mine saw it at my home and ended up asking for one of her own. It has easy to follow directions and patterns. If you're looking for something sweet to make for a child this book is a great place to start. I can't wait to make from it!

I Love this book! The patterns are great for all sewing levels, and there are even some kids can sew! You learn new techniques and how to use helpful tools!

Fun book to use or make items for kids!

I had researched this book before I bought it because I didn't want yet another typical "how-to-sew-toys" book. When I saw that there was a lobster in this book, I knew I had to have it. I was not disappointed. The author has several unique projects ranging from mushrooms and mice to turtles and dolls-even bouys and a hot air balloon! The lobster is my favorite thing in this book, followed quickly by the car and camper set. The pictures are clear and easy-to-see while following the directions, and I especially love that she included several angles of the finished projects. The patterns are accurate and the pieces fit together like they should. I really like that the fabric information for the project is listed right by the picture because sometimes I'm flipping through a book and admiring the fabric that the author has used but the information is lost in the index. No detail was spared, it is clear, beautiful and fun. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to sew something out of the ordinary!

This book is a fantastic resource for learning to sew sweet plush toys. I've made two of the eighteen projects already and both were so clearly explained and well made. The patterns are spot-on, and I love that they can be enlarged to any size--so I have control over how big or small the finished toy turns out. The photography is gorgeous, and the step-by-step instructions were wonderful. I'm excited to continue working my way through the rest of the projects!

Kerry has an amazing imagination. This book is very well thought out, and the stories behind each and every project make this sort of a storytelling sewing book. I can already imagine the laughs and tales me and my daughter will have while we sew through the rest of the projects in this book. I have so far made the sew in go tote for my on the go crochet. I love everything about it. Great job Kerry!!

I bought this for my mums Christmas to make presents for my son!! But to be honest I really want to keep this for myself, this is an absolutely stunning book which I know she will love :)
