AcuRitebrass 00334 4-Inch Swivel Thermometer, 3.5 Inch

This thermometer looks great and was easy to put in. I installed it on my windowsill outside of my kitchen window, which gets morning sun. When the sun is out, the thermometer is not accurate, usually off by about 20 degrees. On cloudy days, it is more accurate.

It does what it should I use it for my cabin in the Adirondacks! I knew how big it was just wish it was bigger, would be able to read it further back! Overall decent.

This is a well made product. I chose to mount mine on the brick veneer wall of my house, under my front porch so it wouldn't get direct sunlight. Living in Texas, direct sunlight on a thermometer or any other type of measuring gauge quickly degrades the device itself, and also produces temperatures way above the actual air temperature you're attempting to measure. Happy with this product.

Not very accurate

I received the thermometer and it was 8 degrees F off from the mercury thermometer on my wall on patio on the outside patio. After 3 days I took it off the window casing outside of my kitchen window where it was reading 40 degrees F and the actual temperature was 32 degrees F. Looking in the hole on it's back side and you see a place to put a miniature screw driver to adjust it. after several attempts the hand fell off. I want to return it for another one that is calibrated. It could have been knocked around in shipment in that envelope to cause the inaccurate reading.I will look for instructions from you. I gave it 4 stars only because the so-called "brass" is slightly better than the cheap ones. It also flops around, doesn't stay in place. I had to jam some tape in the swivel to keep it straight. It's outside my window. The numbers could be larger, too.

Works great

Its a very cute meter but not very accurate i have it in the garage dog kennel but its a broad spectrum either 60 or 50 or 40!!! Does the job to give you an average reading.If your not to picky then buy it.

Sold as a Brass Thermometer, it's not brass, but pressed steel painted gold. Looks cheap and nasty, not worth the money. I've had to pay postage to return it although it's wrongly described. Amazon have said they will refund me the postage but how I do that I don't know.

It is perfect for outside our computer room window. Just a wee glance and I'm set for the day.

We installed this in a shaded window so that we could see the outdoor temp. Sadly this thermometer is off by almost 5 degrees which is HUGE. The quality of the bracket and mount are not great either. Our thermometer was off centre so the thermometer always looked tilted. There are better options out there

The listing is a lie. It is not a brass thermometer. It's a steel one painted army green. The Celsius scale is hard to read because it's much smaller. I'll keep it because it appears to work, but this is one of the many examples of deceptive internet vendors. I got cheated twice this week.

It is not even BRASS color. Just a sickly greenish mustard. As long as it does the job we will keep it. Another reminder to read previous reviews before purchase. Also states product of US. Trying to buy Canadian or American but the unit is stamped China.... Well I did try.
