This book is easy to read, down to earth, informative and well written for a beginner or someone refreshing their reiki skills. The author even shows and explains the symbols which was taboo in the far distant past. The only thing you will need is the hands-on attunement by a reiki master. This book will be a good study guide before your attunement though and I highly recommend it. I plan to purchase the actual book now that I've read the kindle. I want to be able to reference it easily by pulling it off the shelf at anytime.

More than purely an introduction to Reiki, this book has the potential to transform your life. It would also to appeal to those new to Reiki who just want to learn more about the potential benefits of this healing methodThe author is a highly respected teacher of reiki where his personal experience, deep understanding and compassion shine through the pages, guiding the reader towards a deeper understanding of, and connection to Reiki. I have attended Tolisten,s workshops for both Reiki 1 and 2, and can recommend him to be a deeply thoughtful spritual teacher and guide .I thoroughly enjoyed this book which is an excellent introduction to the wonderful world of reiki.

I bought this book after having a Reiki session with one of Torsten's former student, now a Reiki Master herself. The benefits I felt were immense and enough for me to be intrigued enough to buy the book. Torsten's book created the appetite within me to sign up for the Level 1 Reiki course at [...]The experience has been phenomenal and I look forward to this new path that I am ambling along.Read the book and be open to creating the life you desire.

A wonderfully written book. This book gives a definite idea of what reiki is all about, what to expect, and its origins. All some great exercises too! I will be signing up for a course now!!
