I'd forgotten that this movie, concerning missiles, was released the same year as the Cuban Missile Crises.

Sean Connery in his first outing as Bond. A good story with a great actor. Connery lays the foundation for the character in this movie and establishes all the classic tropes.

The Blu Ray clarity makes all the difference. The video is the clearest I've ever seen, much better than the original or any re-broadcast. I'm going to collect the entire series in Blu Ray.

Don't say no to this movie! It's truly a classic

I am not a die-hard fan or historian of the Bond movie franchise, but I believe this was the very first 007 film. Shot in Jamaica with Sean Connery, the best James Bond ever, "Dr. No" was high adventure, especially with special effects, that introduced fans to one of the most popular movie series of all time. The actors, plot, scenery, cinematography, and directing are all first rate. Sean Connery could not be any better as the sexy, wry, and athletic spy hero.

Thought ordering this movie in Blu-Ray might be a fool's errand - what good could Blu-Ray do to a film that old? Wrong! The colors are great, the detail is amazing for a movie made so long ago. The sound is not as large as improvement as the video, but still worth the switch.(Full disclosure: this was viewed on a plasma screen; your OLED results may vary!)

The BR version is really well done and crisp. I wasn't sure whether to get the DVD or BR version (because some many companies just do straight ports DVD -> BR, and DVD upscaling sometimes looks better), but finally went with the later. Glad I did. The picture is excellent (for me) on a 75" TV. The company did a good job on this release and I have zero complaints. (the screendoor effect in the second picture) is the product of the phone camera taking a picture of a 75" LED screen just feet away ~ lol)

Mon tout premier des James Bonds. Je voulais me bâtir la collection des James Bonds en film individuelle au lieu d'avoir le boitier de collection complet et j'avais peurs de voir la qualité d'un vieux film dans une écran de télévision d'aujourd'hui. Je ne l'ai pas regretter et j'ai été très surpris de la qualité de l'image et le son pour un film qui date, très très content et je vais continuer ma collection des James Bond en Blu-Ray. L'avantage du Blu-Ray est qu'on ne ce fait pas avoir avec les zone comme un DVD. Il fonctionnera dans tout les lecteurs peu importe de où qu'ils viennent.

Perfect delivery i watched it no scratches its perfect

Have not had time to view yet. Probably the same as the other James Bond DVDs. Bought as a replacement for my VHS copy.
