Archetype: A Natural History of the Self

I read this book back in 1983 and am going to re read it. At the time I thought that he was a very clear writer an that he made Jung's ideas seem very understandable by quite elegantly placing them in an evolutionary framework . It was only when I read Jung's own work however that I recognised how intelligible the author made Jung's ideas seem. One can never read the same book twice so I look forward to my next read of this fine book.

Stevens is a must read if you are interested in Jung's concept of archetype. Unfortunately for me, I did not know there was a 2nd edition of this book. Given the cost of the Kindle edition; I would not have purchased this first edition if I had realized there was a second edition.
