This is one long continuous piece of wire. I don't know the gauge, but it is pretty thick. It is very malleable and easy to work with. It does have a few imperfections on the surface if the wire. I tried to take a picture of one, but they don't show up well because it is do shiny. These won't affect it's use for me, but may for some people, which is why I am including it. I like that it is silver colored all the way through so you don't have to worry about scraping through and having copper color showing.

I ordered this wire for a small sculpture I wanted to make to attach to another project. I received more than I expected-- in quality and quantity. The wire is easy to bend (with pliers) into any shape you desire. I found it easy to shape and easy to cut. It's strong, too.When I was done, I polished it with some polishing compound and my rotary tool until it lost it's ability to bend easily. It worked perfectly for what I wanted and I'm trying to come up with more ways to use the other 60 ft.Great wire. Very happy with everything about it. Comes perfectly wound, no bends. Great quality.

I did a test of making a loop (see photos) to hang an outdoor flyswatter on nails on posts. It cuts solid and clean, is malleable, and did not snap off with making a twist tie end (brittleness) with Craftsman U.S.-made pliars. It's hard to make a durability rating without leaving it out under stress and weight for awhile, such as in a window hanging or clothesline, but it performs great so far and certainly looks like good basic material.Please use AmazonSmile when placing orders so that a small amount can go to your favorite charities, too. This wire is a tremendous value for the cost (at the time I chose this wire it was equivalent to $.16 a foot or just over a penny per inch). It’s very soft and easy to bend, which also means it takes a bit of a learning curve to obtain a “smooth” appearance. You have to learn how to bend it without “over handling” it but at the very inexpensive cost, there is plenty to “practice” on without losing a ton of cash! I have a “jig” that I can use to make specific shapes but the wire can also be shaped “free form” without any tools.I’m looking forwards to the fun things (shapes, words, etc.) that I can create with this wire.

So far we've used this for craft projects (butterflies) and to make a frame for fairy wings to hang on a kid's room wall. The thickness is very easy to work with and solder or twist together. Mirror finished and smooth. What else can you say about Aluminum craft wire? Just what I was looking for.

Perfect for lots of craft and jewelry projects. I really like the way it bends. It is very soft though, and I think it would look splendid as a hammered bracelet. I can find a hundred uses for this wire. It's awesome.
