Corelle Vive 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Enhancements, Service for 4

Very nice set of dishes. Just what I wanted. Something that is safe for everyday use (less breakable) yet nice enough tor special occasions. NOTE: the coffee mug/cup is NOT GRAY which I was happy to learn. The lighting for that photo most likely had shadows as I learned while taking my own photo. I received the order in just a few days. I ordered two sets for 8 place settings. One set was slightly damaged (one of the cups had a small but severe chip on the top edge-lip). Amazon quickly replaced it which was very much appreciated.

Tick tick waiting for the price to drop. I bought a 16 piece set of these dishes in September 2014 paid 55.00 for them at that time. I would like to add another 16 piece to my existing set as I really like the simple look and enjoy all the benefits of Corelle. Currently the price on Amazon has been staying at 103.00 I don't know about you but I think that is a bit much. 3 stars given due to price has nearly doubled.

We like are Corelli, we had an older pattern that we could not find in retail stores so it was nice to be able to match it up. The only problem with it is the coffee mugs are very heavy to pick up which is surprising because the dishes and easy to use.

The plates and bowls are Corelle glass and pure white. The mugs are stonewear and off white. If you are looking afor a perfectly matched set, this isn't it. It doesn't bother me much because I use my own, rather motley collection of coffee mugs but it would some people.

Best dishes I've had. Love all the extra pieces that you can get at K-Mart also. Quality is the best. I have kids and dropping dishes come with the territory. They never break. Look like the first day I bought them, and I've been buying them for a long time. I now have a BIG set for holidays. The white is a good choice as it can "become" any holiday setting on your table! There was one chipped plate. I have asked about a replacement - but have not received an answer. I was surprised to find the chip on the dinner plate, because every was so well packed.

I had bought this pattern 25 years ago. Over time the set has dwindled with kids and occasional breakage and wanted to complete my service set again. This pattern is very difficult to find anymore. I went to Target, JC Penny, Walmart, Macy's: I was so glad to have found it on Amazon and it was a Prime item. I had received a Pfaltzgraft stoneware set for retirement - it was horrible chipped every time I used it or washed it. So I wanted to go back to my Corelle - durable, microwaveable, refrigerator and easy care in the dishwasher.

Several of the dinner plates are actually "warped". They don't lay flat on the table. I would consider these to be "seconds". I should have been more proactive and demanded an exchange or refund.

Very well packaged, arrived safely. I am very pleased with the dishes. A note to other shoppers, the mugs are not made of the same material as the rest of the set. They are stoneware - well made with no rough edges but I found them quite heavy to pick up with arthritic hands.
