Great Product Great Price (Customer Service Great)
Bought this unit for my 2012 Suzuki DL650A to charge my GSP and Phone. (Black as it matches the bike)Install was not hard but I found it best to remove some of the plastics and raise the tank a few inches to ease passing.About and hour to set it up and looks high quality both on the parts under the seat near the battery and the exposed sections you plug your USB and Cigarette into.Had a issue and called the company's help phone line and got someone on a Sunday who quickly diagnosed my issue and had a replacement part sent to me in a few days. Thank YOU Eklipes ... nice to have US based customer support.PROLooks close to OEM quality15 Amp fuse protects bikes batteryEasy to connect a battery tender plug using the Eklipes HarnessLove the Switch and LED so you can turn power off to power portsLike the rubber cover to protect the ports from RainCONHarness to the battery could be a few inches longer to allow placement of the covered 15 AMP fuse further away with less tensionRubber / Plastic cover on the 15 Amp fuse could be a little tighter, but as the fuse is under the seat little risk of suchOVERALLWould buy again and recommend to friends to check out this and other EKLIPES products

A Very Good Product
This charging system was used on a 27 country tour of Europe from September to December. With it, I powered my Garmin GPS which was my primary method of finding my way through 14,000 kilometers of roads. It performed flawlessly. Without it, my trip would have been very difficult. The plastic water cover broke off early on, but in spite of some rust, the unit worked flawlessly through many storms. It installs easily. It was great to be able to power my GPS and charge my cell phone at the same time. Having my cell phone charged was also very important as I used it for photography, translating, money conversions and public transit maps in cities. The red LED shows when the unit is putting out power and there is an off on switch that is very handy. I can't imagine a motorcycle without this device.

Has worked well. A nice accessory to have for the price.
I've used it for a whole season (Apr-Oct) and worked well. Looks nice, though it's plastic and I know that it'll break at some point. The seat (not the ring) it slides into to rest is not as tight as I'd have liked. And, I think this is the point where the plastic casing may break in the future.I like the on/off switch, with the red light showing you which it is. With the cap on you can't see it, so make sure you don't leave this unit on all the time.I hardwired this unit to the battery as it was the easiest installation for my 2009 Vulcan 900. So before you put its cap on, make sure it's off (light off), otherwise you may drain the battery. Basically I charge my phone usually when I've stopped. I have plugged a gps unit attached to the bar while riding with no problem. You can do any of that when it's raining (at least I wouldn't), but its cap has kept the rain out with no problem. It also has an EZ start battery charger to boost your battery from another battery. I don't have a way to do or test this, though it's nice to have the option. I suppose it's the same principle as jump starting a battery, car to car via cigarette lighter cable. My bike's battery isn't the easiest to get to, so this feature is nice and I may invest in a cable to be able to boost the battery from a car's cig. terminal.

Top of the line electrical/USB outlet
Mounted this on my handle bars to replace another unit I had just bought. The other unit had a light in the cigarette socket which wound up draining my battery as it was direct connected to the battery, a trickle would not work on the cigerette lighter as the current would not go back to the battery. This unit has great heavy wiring connecting it to the battery, a fused line going to the handle bar unit, which is switched at the unit, very handy. This is the best unit for my needs, and not wanting to cut into the existing wires to find a switched lead solved my problems. You can also go to there website and buy a jumper cable that plugs right into the pigtail that is attached to the battery connectors, heavy duty wiring that will handle the amps of a jump. This is a well thought out unit and comes with all the proper parts and sized to do the job right. Would recommend this to anyone looking for this type of connection.

Flimsy mount, made of plastic
Great concept, but terrible choice of materials for use on a motorcycle. The plastic flanges that the metal mounting bracket goes in snapped off within a month of use. Needs to be made of metal or thicker plastic. Otherwise, it works great. I agree with others about the rubber cover flapping in the wind but it's a minor annoyance. One thing to note is the red LED that comes on when you flip the power switch is extremely bright and distracting at night. I put a very small drop of fingernail polish on it to dim it down a little. I haven't used the USB port but a couple of times so I can't comment on what others have mentioned about the USB port failing after a few uses, but I can vouch for the 12v outlet as my phone charger plugs into it.Also, my unit did NOT have a rubber plug for the EZ jump start battery harness plug as shown in the photos, so I had to cover it with electrical tape to keep dirt and water out. Not a deal breaker as I routed it under the side plate near my fuse box for easy accessOverall, I'd recommend it and would give it 5 stars if not for the flimsy mount groves.

AWESOME!
Great setup for you bike. Nice charging system for your phone which is also switchable on or off. Love the indicator light that tells you when it is on and the tight cap that covers the unit. Mounted it on my handlebars right next to my phone mount so my phone stays charged for the entire ride! The chrome finish really goes with the rest of the chrome on my bike. I also hooked up the charging plug that comes with it but not sure if I will ever use it since I don't have the extension to plug it into another bike. It does exactly what it is meant to do and looks great. Easy to install and I ran the wires under the gas tank and hid them for a very clean professional install.
