Charles Perrault's Mother Goose Fairy Tales

My little one picked this out and really enjoys the pictures and the stories.

Book has a decent collection of fairy tales, beatifully illustrated. The actual wording of the tales is somewhat shortened and some details are changed. For example, here wolf doesn't swallow Little Red Riding hood, instead the girl and her grandmother fight him off...Good for young children and good for them reading the stories by themselves.

This whole series are really well retold and illustrated for young children. Not too much text per page combined with solid illustrations that micely support the stories. I bought them for my son when he was 3. Now that he is 7 he reads them to my 3 year old daughter.

I have bought all 4 books in the series by Val Biro and all are very good. This has charming pictures and well-written stories. Other books I've bought seem to have extra elements in stories to pad them out, but these are just right. They flow very well and my children use them in their play, which is probably the best recommendation.

My son loves it!

An excellent book for children of all ages. This is a great tribute to the talents of the late Val Biro after a lifetime of illustrating book covers and of course the Gumdrop books. Val was 92 when he completed these illustrations and had lost none of his amazing talent.

A very nice copy I was delighted with it.
