It's better to buy the whole kit instead of just the chemicals. For just a little bit more not much more you get the tester unit as well.

Purchased for my hot tub. Instructions were clear and I was up and running with it in no time. Lacks "Calcium Hardness" and "Total Bromine" tests, so I have to rely on other kits for that. The bottles and cheat sheet card are resilient to water, but not waterproof. The cheat sheet also lacks a recommended Total Alkalinity level but includes it in the full manual (80-100ppm). Minus 1 star because the pH test doesn't instruct you to swirl after adding 1 drop of #4 (chlorine/bromine neutralizer). However, I discovered that this was a vital step or else the pH will show as purple which will be interpreted as "extremely high". I put a LOT of acid in my hot tub trying to get the purple to come down, when I later figured out that it was never going to not be purple until I started swirling the #4 before adding the #2 (pH indicator). I ended up using a pen to add the missing information to the cheat sheet card. Overall a great kit!

We love this test kit! It is super easy to use, it has very clear instructions and everything is labeled very clearly. We will definitely buy again.

It only takes a moment to check your pH and Cl levels, and if those are kept in line, your pool will rarely disappoint. Other tests are important (Cyanuric Acid, Calcium Hardness) but these tend to stay set all season once the water is balanced in the spring. pH can vary (acid rain) and Cl can be depleted by time and sunlight. This test kit is easy to use, matching color swatches to the reagent reactions. I buy one every year, and would recommend to a friend.

I broke my previous kit (not meant to be dropped from 4 ft on rock), and ordered this exact replacement (ready for new drops anyway). This is the best kit as far as I am concerned. It's hefty, easy to read and it and the drops store in its own sturdy box.

This is ALOT easier to read then the test stripe. I have three different makes, and they all give slightly different readings making it harder to get an accurate readout on how much of a product I need to add to my pool. Do yourself a favor and spend the $1 or $2 extra dollars on this test kit and don't waste your time or money on the strips.

Came fast, just what I was wanting, works great

I have tried this place induct 3 or 4 times and the readings are always the same. I’ve added the appropriate chemicals and still no difference in readings. Also, the plastic closure for the box broke after the first use.
