If you have tinny sound, PLEASE READ! Actual review lower down
I'll start my review with some helpful info, because people think this is a "plug and play" headset when it's really not. I'll explain how to get the best sound out of this headset.1: First off, go download corsairs software ICUE if you don't already have it.2: Once it's done installing simply plug your headset in (any option you choose, doesn't matter) then in the software click on the headset once it pops up.3: Once you've clicked on the headset click the "Equalizer" option then click the box with a plus sign on it, then copy my equalizer settings in my image.Just like that, 3 simple steps and now your headset will sound amazing! Now with that all out of the way, here's my actual review. This headset is by far the BEST one i've owned so far! It feels wonderful to wear, is lightweight and sounds amazing! The wireless dongle paired up with it in an instant and i've had no issues at all with it.I just came from the Corsair Void PRO and this headset is a HUGE step up in audio quality. Everything sounds so crisp and clear. Bass is full, but doesn't drown out any other parts of the audio.7.1 surround sound is perfect for gaming, it makes everything sound much more lively and you pick up sounds you didn't originally hear with normal surround. Doom Eternal was a totally different experience with this headset (seriously, if you own Doom Eternal and buy this headset go try it out after you've set it up. You won't regret it!)Wireless range isn't as far as they say (at least for me) but it's still pretty good, about 35-40 feet before it starts getting distorted. This is probably because my pc monitor is in between where my headset dongle is and the headset itself so your range may be better than mine.Battery life is as advertised, but you'll need to turn off the RGB for it (you an do that in ICUE). With RGB on you'll get around 15-16 hours before it's totally dead, not bad really! Charging time from dead to near full is pretty fast, although i sadly didn't get to fully time it. The cool part is, if your headset happens to die but you need to keep using it, you can charge it and still continue to use it!Although it's not really advertised for phones, this headset also works amazingly with them! I had to use the 3.5mm audio jack with a USB-C adapter for it to work right though (Using a USB-C to USB-C cord made the headset really quiet even at max volume)Mic is amazing, even in wireless mode it's crisp and clear according to my friends in a discord call. It being removable is a really nice bonus too!Overall i'm incredibly happy with this headset, and i highly recommend it to anyone!

Gift for my fiance
Fiancés words: “Corsair knocked it out of of the park with this headset. Sound quality is awesome, I have been told the mic quality is fantastic. Multiple connection options, I can wear them for long sessions gaming and they never feel anything but comfortable!”

Amazing!!
This headset enhanced my gaming experience from okay to out of this world. The sound quality of this headset is great and the mic sounds good as well. The only issue I have is, while using wireless mode the headsets battery only lasts about 2-3 hours which is not terrible at all but there is always better. However the headset is still usable while on charge. Overall a great product highly recommend for new and experienced gamers

An honest 1 Yer review
This is a 1 year review of using this headset as my daily driver. Initially, I was very excited about this headset because of a few features, namely the removable mic, volume control wheel on the headset, and wireless connectivity; however, after 1 year of almost daily use, there’s a few things to note about the Virtuoso. For starters, most of the headset is very well constructed. The headrest is soft but firm and has retained its comfort consistently over the last year. The metal construction for that and the joints attached to the earmuff housing are also metal construction and very sturdy and smooth. The earmuff housings though are simply made out of plastic and have not withstood the test of time. The plastic housing around the earmuffs near the metal joint has cracked on both sides of the left cup as well as around the entire outer housing of the headset on the right and left earmuffs (see images). All in all the housing gets a 7/10 for the solid construction of the metal framing and the poor quality of the plastic housings. Swap out the plastics for metal and I think it’d be a solid 9-10.Next we have the ear padding. It’s definitely held up throughout this year but fall short in a few areas. The padding itself I find is too shallow for my ears which aren’t too large but slightly above average for sure. I found my ears getting fatigued after a while due to rubbing against the inner mesh of the earmuff (see images). Thankfully, the padding is able to be removed from the earmuffs but not without sacrifice. There are 3 tabs on the padding that slot into grooves on the headset and twist to lock in place, by simply removing the padding without using any excessive force, I managed to break 1 of the tabs on both sides of the padding (see images). Lastly the earmuffs tend to insulate heat very well which in some cases would be good, but in the summer it’s not the ideal choice. All in all the earmuffs get a 6/10 as well. While better than a lot of other headsets, the poor construction and lack of depth make this fall short of getting a better score.Next up we had the controls on the headset. This is one of this headsets weakest points in my opinion. While the volumes wheel and power switch still feel great after a year, their functionality falls horribly short. The power switch has 2 main functions: to power on the headset when you want to use it wirelessly or to force the headset to rely on the wired power connection. Functionally, this means if your headset is plugged in to charge, there is no way to shut it off to save battery life. This switch also has a tendency to not respond. There are times where I will want to switch it from the powered connection to the wireless connection but the switch does not respond and I’ll have to flick it off and on again a few times before it responds. the volume slider also faces a worse level of inaccuracy than the power switch. I’ve attempted to use it on multiple occasions but using the wheel on the headset causes the volume to jump up and down rather than a consistent up OR down making the volume wheel virtually unusable. To that end I cannot attest how it’s stood up to consistent use wear and tear cause I was never able to rely on it consistently. The mic is the golden redeeming factor to this part of the review. Very clear quality, mute button has never failed me, the mic is removable if you use an external mic, and the active feedback I find very useful. Only downsides I’ve come across are the headsets audio feedback for when you mute or I mute will sometimes not play (which I mostly blame on the iCue software for the headset) and the mic pickup is VERY good. In some cases this is great but for some people not. In my case my chat rooms could hear myself AND my wife from across the house. The controls and adds get a 4/10 and only because the mic is great. Finally we have one of the most important parts of a headset: the audio quality. This headset has some of the best audio quality of any headset I’ve owned. Clean mids, crisp highs and rich lows. I’ve never had an issue with the quality of the audio from this headset which is why I’ve stuck with it for so long despite its other fallbacks. I give the audio on this a 9/10 only because I’ve had better audio in another headset that has since been discontinued by its manufacturer.Overall, the Corsair Virtuoso headset gets a 7/10 from me because there is a lot of room for improvement but is still an extremely solid headset.

only good afordable headset i have had
I go through a lot of headsets. (my cat eats the cords) I cant hear a lag in sound so its great for games and I wear glasses and it doesnt hurt. I have used them all night and they were still alive in the morning as well. the sound quality is of course better when you have it plugged in but that makes sense.

not so good
I got these headphones as I have an all Corsair setup and wanted to sync the leds with the rest of my gear. It does not have active noise cancelling, only the default isolation that big ear pads gives on any headphones gives you. Tehy are comnfortable in the sense that cups are very coushined, but do gget warm. Sound quality on wireless is not awesome, a little bit better when working with cable. removable mic is cool. After owning them, besides for looks, I would not necesarrily recommend.

Great stuff earmuffs just need work.
These are pretty good, only thing that I have a small complaint about is the earmuffs. Wearing it for like 6 hours long would make my ears hurt. Other then that great sound, great kit, and great length for wireless. I would 9/10 recommend to anyone that needs some good headphones.
