I have dozens of 120V Par20 Halogen spot bulbs in recessed ceiling cans in my house...
The halogen bulbs look great when on full, and I love how the color warms as they are dimmed. The "Color Rendering Index" (CRI) of halogen has always been my favorite look I've tried various LED bulbs over the past few years that claim to "look just like halogen", but they haven't even come close. I am VERY particular about having the same CRI and dimming characteristics of halogen Par 20's. THESE LED BULBS are the first I've ever seen very close to Halogen at full brightness and when they dim. My cost on Amazon would be $7.50 per LED, when I can get the Halogens in bulk for $2.00 each. But the LED bulbs should last much longer and use so much less power they are actually LESS EXPENSIVE. There is also the factor that the Halogen Bulbs could be made illegal to sell in the USA by future Federal energy efficiency regulations. (I have new 300 Halogens stockpiled/in storage in my garage just in case).**** HOWEVER! If you are using X-10 dimmers in your house as I am, to automate the lighting scenes, these LED bulbs will not turn all the way off unless the X10 dimmer is for "inductive loads" (will have a neutral wire connection to the dimmer switch)! (With the simple "2-wire" X10 switches, when these LED bulbs are switched OFF, they continue pulsing ON/OFF with the Test Voltage that X10 dimmers send to the circuit. Besides using an "inductive load" X10 dimmer, another option to fix this is to have one incandescent bulb in a circuit dimmed by the X10 dimmer.--The incandescent bulb will damp the voltage pulsing, and eliminate the flashing when the dimmer is off.****

EXCELLENT color and brightness
excellent - I did a side by side with these and Halogen bulbs - randomly in the room's recessed lighting - it was hard to tell them apart - excellenta whole room full of these uses less electricity on my electric bill than one single halogen bulb they replacedthe halogen bulbs ran so hot from using so much power that they become stuck in the recessed lighting fixtures and were very had to get out each time one burned out ... these run very cool and shouldn't ever have that problem again ... plus these won't burn out for 20 yearsbuying 8 of these ended up being a great, nearly permanent upgrade to our home - the lighting looks and works the same as it always has, the light color is almost identical ...the dimming is smooth and silent - excellent product

Can't get very dim + dimmer incompatibility
Unfortunately these lights were incompatible with our dimmer (Lutron Caseta). Depending on the room (and how many lights were on the circuit) the lights could take 1-2 seconds to turn on after flipping the switch and they would strobe. This caused them to be unusable for us.Like mentioned elsewhere these don't dim very much. For me the allure of the warm glow models was being able to dim them for that traditional moody comforting orange colour shift. The fact that they were substantially brighter than some other normal LED bulbs I had defeated the purpose of going this route.Despite the negatives I'm really excited to see Philips making these bulbs. The quality and diversity of our lighting options has taken a hit in the switch to CCFL and now LED. While energy savings is a huge perk, I look forward to Philips and others advancing the technology so we don't have to give up everything that made incandescent/halogen great.

Very convincing warm dim, just like halogen. But doesn't dim all the way!
I really wanted to like this product. The warm-dim feature was important to me, and on that front it performed beautifully. Dims smoothly and naturally to a warm and cozy 2200K nearly identically to my halogens. The problem is it doesn't actually dim all the way to zero. It bottoms out roughly around 25% of full brightness. That was a deal breaker for me, and I ended up sacrificing the warm-dim and going with Sunco bulbs, which were half the cost and dim all the way to zero very nicely. If you don't need your lights to dim all the way, you will love these. But for movie nights in the living room, they just don't dim enough. If Philips addresses this in a future product I'll be first in line.

these are absolutely great
These bulbs are absolutely great. If you don't cook a lot it probably doesn't matter. However these give off a nice quality light. Especially if you're putting something together late at night or early in the morning before the sun comes up. I got the "soft white" which really means warmer lower kelvin level. Also they fit perfectly in my range hood, put off a lot more light then my old halogens, and give off significantly less heat, which is great considering how much heat can be coming up from the stove if you're doing multiple things.I've recently switched to warm white LED's in almost every fixture and am getting more and better light, the same color as incandescents, and my electricity bill is down, which I'm sure has covered the bulb price difference by now. Plus they are getting cheaper every day. There's really no reason not to switch.Best,

Wrong model advertised
This is not the product pictured. At first I thought this was just an honest mistake, but after ordering twice and getting the wrong product twice it's just falsely advertised. The product shown is model 929001373. The product you'll receive is 9290020449. Although they are very close, they're not the same. The later is brighter and not made of glass but plastic. You probably won't notice the difference unless you see them both side by side. I can just group the different bulbs into different parts of my house so you won't get the chance to see them next to each other, but I don't like the false advertising.

This LED Light bulb emulates closest to Halogen bulb. And is very energy efficient!
So I'm an electrical contractor; I always test stuff in my own home before using in installations to avoid callback, trying to be professional. I've now had three generations of LED Bulbs in my home, and I always liked Halogen Bulbs. The color spectrum was very broad, looked beautiful shining down on granite countertops. These LED bulbs just amazed me how close to halogen in color temperature. Also very reasonable in power consumption.

Good Bulbs for a Range Hood
Bright. Nice yellowish 3000k type colour. The hood switch has a partial dim setting where these bulbs flicker slightly. But I hardly notice it. I would think the dimming was not designed for LED bulbs. (The range hood is 15 years old.)

💡Best par 20 LED bulbs ever 💡
Finally, a LED bulbs that looks and behaves like a halogen. Color is great with warm tones. Brightness is the same as halogens, maybe a bit more but nothing too blinding. I’ll be ordering more for sure.

Is it one bulb or six? Description says 6 pack...

SCAM. Only 1 bulb, not a pack of 6.
The description says "This pack of 6..." but only one bulb came. I ordered two packs (thinking I was getting 12) but only got 2... and after installation only one of the two bulbs worked.
