Had good plot twists and kept me wondering for just long ...
I am a huge John Locke fan. I've been waiting on another Donovan Creed novel to come out, but I didn't get that..I did get a little bit of him in this book. I'll preface this with the fact that I'm not a huge fan of the Danni Ripper series, but because it's Locke, I read them. The problem is that this is NOT how a girl thinks or talks... Danni's character needs some serious reworking....Besides that, it's susspenseful and is a very quick read (about 2 hours). Had good plot twists and kept me wondering for just long enough. I really do love John's writing style, this one just missed to mark for me psersonally but was still a good book. Just not one of his best.

Aw, Go On, Tell Presley. No, Wait!
John Locke is a really, really good formula writer - not formula for Baby, formula race car. He has some chronic malapropisms and grammar errors that apparently his pit crew doesn't catch, unfortunately - that should have been attended to at this point in his career trajectory, particularly now that his prices have doubled. Hence the reason I don't give him 5 stars, and won't until he gets himself a Donovan-Creed-worthy cleanup crew. I love the basics of his stories, which are quirky and twisty and downright kinky, and I will keep reading them as long as he keeps writing them. His characters are a lot of fun, definitely not cardboard - more like holograms, shiny and almost dimensional. And pleasantly flawed, particularly Dani, who is a pretty darn good female character to have been authored by a man - a good trick in any genre.I'm posting this same review for "Teacher, Teacher", since a summary of plot twists would spoil a potential reader's fun, and I have no intention of doing that. Cheers!

Dani Ripper, Donovan Creed......That About Tells You What You Need To Know..
This is Book 4 in the Dani Ripper series, and it is agood quick afternoon read.We have, An Affair, A Plane Crash, A Hit Man, A Rape,A Dead Husband, Find Out That The BoyFriend Was Flying ThePlane That Crashed, And A Serial Rapist......all in the first 30 pages. And now we come to the point where Donovan Creed is called......If a criminal is not in CODIS, they must be in WITSEC.But, Don't Tell Presley....Donovan Creed says so.Confused? That's ok, you should be.But don't fear, it all gets resolved in the end.And Presley French becomes a very wealthy lady.

I'm Exausted.....
Enjoyable. I've liked the Dani Ripper series probably better than any of the other Locke books. While enjoyable, they will tire you out...guaranteed.Just about every character partakes in a one-liner contest and no one really ever has a normal conversation. You realize while reading, it's all supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, allowing the writer to chuckle his day away at the keyboard living his fantasy of being a comedian.I didn't have a problem with it, except EVERYONE was like this. Back and forth and on and on. Like I said....exausting.It entertained while completely wearing me out....lolOne last thing. Sometimes it truly IS better to go with the obvious, especially, when the obvious would have worked better. The book title should have been..."This Is For You Pressley."No question.

I'm Getting Tired of Dani Ripper
This book was so lame and sad and lame that I think I'm not buying/reading anymore Dani Ripper books. This is the authors effort at assisting his alter ego for the sake of female readers that dislike Donovan Creed's perceived "misogyny"...Get over it! He may be...but as this book begins...you can read the author trying to transform himself into a feminist author by describing the insane over-thinking and complication of (most) female brains when a simple decision should be made...and then MOVE ON!JEEZ LAMEEZ

Don't waste your time.
I keep telling myself that I'm not going to buy any more John Locke books and then a new one comes out and I buy it anyway. I guess I'm hoping that it will be as good as some of the first ones he wrote. I don't really care for the Dani Ripper novels and it took me two weeks to read this book, although you could probably get through it in a few hours. It becomes more and more obvious that he is just pushing these books out as fast as he can just for the money. This book was not good. It was stupid, but then most of his later books are stupid. He was much more entertaining when he started his Donovan and Emmett Love books. Maybe if he read his books after he wrote them he would find out how bad they have become.

Very disappointing effort from John Locke
Rather disappointing effort from John Locke. I've enjoyed the other Dani Ripper books, but this one not so much. There's just too much that doesn't seem to work well together. Or, maybe he's just trying to put out too many books too fast. He's pretty well killed his Donovan Creed character as far as my interest is concerned and he's well on his way to killing my interest in the Dani Ripper character. I'm unlikely to purchase any more books by him.

Another amazing Dani Ripper story!
I love this series and can't wait for the next book. Dani Ripper is a gorgeous and delightfully complex P.I. with a tangled personal life and staff of hilarious misfits. Their practice should churn up the mundane. Instead, they land case after case which challenges legal and moral boundaries and takes the reader on a fast-paced, intriguing ride. To top it all, I can't ever guess how it's going to end because John Locks throws in so many plot twists and turns. Love it! Every time I read the last page of a Dani Ripper novel, I want more. Highly recommend for readers who enjoy intense levels of suspense with an occasional dose of steam.

Another excellent book
Love the Dani Ripper series. John Locke's writing is modern, kooky, funny, exciting and entertaining.Dani Ripper is an intruiging likeable character and this story did not fail to disappoint! Not my favourite in the series.... I reckon my personal favourite is 'promise you won't tell'.If you've not read all 4 books- do it now! You won't regret it. Cannot wait until the next book! Hurry up, John! :)

Brilliant!! Cracking opening gets you straight into the story and the pace don't drop until you finish. Not the longest book you are ever likely to read, but I prefer that to endless pages on weather or decor just to pad out the book! So yes you will finish this quick but that's due to the great writing and fast pace we have come to expect from John Locke. Can't wait to get more from Dani. Brilliant!!

Not to my taste
I liked books 1-3 in the series. However, this book 4 introduces same sex romance which is not to my taste. Deleted after reading approx. 10%.Also deleted books 5-6 unread

Drivel
Very poor follow up novel for the first 2 dani Ripper novels. There's no plot, no character development, no suspense, no nothing worth reading. Give this a very wide birth.

The man with no nose!
Another great read from John Locke. Finished in two sittings! When's the next one?Having said that… I do hope it was written BEFORE the plane crash disaster in Europe last month – which was sadly very similar to the fictional account of the pilot's depression at the start of the book. 😔
