Tea Salad Kit ~ 8 oz Tea Dressing + 9 oz Salad Topping လဘက္နွပ္နွင့္ပဲေၾကာ္

Unfortunately BurmaSuperstar has only two locations in northern California. When I move to a city that lacked such ethnic diversity, I was bummed about missing the tea leaf salad and other delicious foods. I break 1/2 package apart, squeeze 1/2 lemon, add touch of Olive oil, and a little vinegar or artichoke marinade juice or Ponzu sauce, stir and let sit while I chop veggies. I like to use Kale salad mix that has a citrus vinaigrette just incase I need more dressing or use Japanese Ponzu sauce, which is just soy sauce with lemon. I like to have pickled ginger, marinated artichokes, avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, red peppers, edamame, and green onions. If you like spicy try a little Jalapeno. I arrange everything in the bowl with salad on bottom and piles of each of my veggies then dab the tea leaf in the center and top with the amazing bean mix. Bingo you have your Instagram moment of the day. Then I mix everything up. The tea leaf has such an amazing earthy taste that works perfect with the other flavors. We raided the garden and veggie drawer to come up with our version of the restaurant salad. Really-go creative! The final squeeze of an entire lemon was a crowning touch. On subsequent salads, we added crisp fried garlic and chopped peanuts for a more authentic taste. Be warned: The dressing is spicy.

I love Burmese Tea Leaf Salad and our Burmese restaurant has closed. I made a pretty darn good rendition with this package. BUT the foil packet of leaves seemed to be for 3-4 servings, the salad dressing for 6-8 and the beans for 8-10. If there had been two tea packets in the package I'd give it 5 stars. (It came as promised, I'm just saying the balance of products in the kit seems off to me) . And it was really good. So you decide 3,4 or 5 stars for that combo of realities.

I was a little intimidated by this product, but was super easy and tasted great! I am not sure you can screw it up. Plus, There were instructions in the package. I got 4 large salads out of this packet. 100% buying again!!!

I purchased a tea leaf kit before this purchase and it was amazing and I was so proud to be able to create this salad at home. We have enjoyed eating this salad in restaurants in California for many years. Since we haven't been able to travel to CA for the past year, we decided to try making this food at home. It tastes very similar to the one in the restaurants.

These kits are perfect. I still go to the store and pay $9 for the already made tea salad once in a while because I'm lazy, I don't have to have to buy the produce (romaine, cabbage, tomatoes), and the store one has ginger shredded in with the tea leaves which adds this exquisite flavor to the whole salad. But having the kit makes it so if I can't or won't go to the store, I can still have this delicious salad. It makes for a real nice change from the typical salads, of which I eat frequently. It's packaged so I don't have to refrigerate it too. I've been giving some of these away to my people to slowly peak their culinary curiosity as to what other Burmese food may be like too.

This is my third order of this product as I was very happy with the previous order. However, this one arrived with the vacuum seal broken and oil leaked outside the bottle. Not sure if I should consume it or not as it has been not refrigerated in this condition. Very disappointed.
