MechWarrior Age of Destruction Booster by WizKids

I used to collect the Dark Age series as a kid, and play with them like toys. Needless to say they broke after a while because these are statuette game pieces. Only in these past few weeks I finally got the starter pack and learned how to play, and got a booster from here. This game is really fun if you're into strategy, commanding and pitting your units against a friends army is really fun. The figures are highly detailed and prepainted, and just look incredible. Sure, you get some duplicates here and there, but they would most likely have a different paint job, and a separate paint job means they have different skills than the other mech. Since this game was discontinued by Wizkids, it's hard for my friends to find these anywhere and play me, so I just buy a bunch of these and let them borrow mine if they need additional units. I already placed an order for 4 more boxes just to see what I get! Make sure if you get a few of these to get a large plastic box with dividers in it so the figures don't jumble around a lot and break off their stands. If you're a person into modelling, you can even craft your own gameboard with its own terrain, this game has a million different ways to play just because of the different play styles of units and how the land affects their movement. The moment this booster pack becomes out of stock is the day I spiral into crippling depression. Here's hoping that Wizkids reboots the franchise with the new mechs from Mechwarrior Online.If you didn't wanna read all that here's some pros and cons of just the figures.Pros:-highly detailed-prepainted-no character is 100% the same (different stats and team colors)-to scale (humans are tiny, vehicles are average, and mechs are pretty large compared to humans)-you never know what you're gonna get! (other than 1 mech, 1 vehicle, 2 infantry, and some cards, like pilots, equipment, and contracts)-pretty sturdy for their size-somewhat pose-able (don't force any joints though, they can still break)-Brand new for a 9 year old game! Still sealed in the box!-With some slight rule bending you can play with your friends if they only have Heroclix (the new game Wizkids is focusing on at the moment)Cons:-still fragile despite being sturdy for their size-sometimes you get repeats-Very hard to get a mech you really want (Im still on the hunt for an Uziel mech with out paying 5 bucks for just the figure)-You can't exactly play with just a booster pack (you can get two boosters, 3 dice, a flexible ruler, and a download of the rule book if you go for the simplified game though)-smaller infantry can be lost (their stands aren't much larger than a quarter)-Discontinued series (Wizkids won't be making anymore of these as far as I know)

5 stars because I loved this game when it was in circuit but just like d&d and other boosters....You have no idea what your getting...and for the price your better off buying singles or what you want/need to much to gamble on because it's not like you can trade with friends or a non existent meet or convention :(

Good product and the price was right. Now I have some new additions to my Mech force.....

One of these boosters was tampered with. Cards werent in plastic, the plastic holding the mech was dark yellow compared to the clear plastic the other units were in. Be weary of this.

This was a great gift for my son. The toy was shipped promptly and with no hassle.

Of the four packs one set had a broken mech, two had duplicates but one had a unique mech in it so it could've been worse!

Awesome pieces but hardly anyone plays this.

This product is amazing. I use it not only for the game it is for, but also for visual aides when role-playing a campaign.
