You get what you pay for.
Initially bought a different/cheaper adapter from another company that didn't really fit properly on my light stand (a Matthews MERF with standard 5/8" spigot). Had to return that one, bought this one for 2-4x as much instead. You get what you pay for -- it's extremely well made, fits perfectly, and takes standard 1/4-20 screws (rather than the other, which was m6 and seemed to have unusual thread spacing despite the top being 1/4-20). Replaced the thumb screw with a headless screw for a lower nadir profile (I'm using this to mount a 360 camera on the light stand which will also hold an AD200 during flambient shoots of the same houses) as well as all but the bottom two t-handles on my light stand and it's excellent - no need for a $120-$200 monopod that can tip over in addition to everything else. All said, $15 for this is still probably a steal for the quality.

Just As I expected it to be.
Works As it should I am happy with this item. I did, however, have to turn it upside down to get it to work with my motorized gimble but it worked nonetheless.

Revived an old tripod I had!
I had bought a for-parts vintage tripod at a garage sale. The legs were sturdy and it remained stable even when using the geared center column, but the attached pan-tilt head was stiff and the tripod thread was completely stripped and nonremovable.Playing around, I realized the pan-tilt head was just sitting on top of a regular old 16mm rod! Bought this adapter and attached a modern fluid head. So far, this adapter has proved very impressive. It has two threads for the tightener, and I attached a spare tightener to make this product rock solid. So far, it seems to hold with no play at all. ... and I ended up with a pretty awesome tripod for about $75, way better then what you can get new at that price point.

Very small compared to other baby pin ball head adapters
No fault of the product, just mine for not realizing it was so small.1.4inch (35mm) top where the ball head goes.I purchased to use in the studio with some bigger ball heads. I will keep it though as I do have some samller ballheads or maybe I will mount an arca rail to it

Built tough at a great price.
I purchased this mounting adapter for placing my Weebill 2 onto my Flycam Galaxy arm and vest setup. Works great! mounts perfectly with NO play (wiggle) on the 16MM connector. It is made of high grade aluminum and feels sturdy to the touch. It is not cheaply made. And the $15 price is unbeatable. Look no further for a 1/4 - 20 mounting adapter.

Just what I needed
So many uses. I used to mount electronic gimbal on a fly cam vest because I cannot take weight on my arms n shoulders to film due to spine injuries and surgeries. Finding this saved me so much money. Thank you.

Solid build, except rubber piece
Soli metal build. However the rubber piece came off on the top where the screw is.
