The Monocle Book of Gentle Living: A guide to slowing down, enjoying more and being happy: 2 : Brûlé, Tyler, Tuck, Andrew, Pickard, Joe, Fehnert, Josh: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Beautiful Book - I absolutely love this book. Its always like sitting down with a good friend. Comforting, insightful and relaxing. Review: A ‘Treasure Trove’ of a book. ❤️ - Monocle have published some great stuff in their time, and this is one of their best yet, in my opinion. This is because it is so accessible, has a wide appeal, and is realistic in terms of living a ‘gentle’ life. It is beautifully presented, with both photographs, and drawings. Reading this book, has actually made me do things I normally avoid. Swimming, for instance, was my nemesis. Something in the book just made me think, ‘well, you can swim, so get out and do it!’ There are some well chosen essays one may wish to read within the pages, as well as an inspiring travel section. In fact, the whole book is an inspiration.

Great content, annoying font sizes
Really enjoyed the content, as always. But this time, the diversity of font size on one page quite annoys me, and if its reason is design over experience, I'm not happy with it.

The kind of book who tells you to enjoy simple life pleasures but in a curated way. It’s a guide for people of higher socio economic status on how to find meaning in life through basic human practices. It’s a book about the gentrification of basic human activities. If you achieved success within the capitalist system and you loss touch, this is the book for you. You’ll find an elevated way to add depth to your existence. If curating resonates with you go for it.
