Bunny Drop is a "slice-of-life" style manga centered around the dynamics of a little girl and the man who adopts her. Despite the weird circumstances of their meeting - she is technically his aunt(?) - they grow to show a family dynamic highly relatable to many readers.As they grow in age their family dynamic shifts and in Volume 7 Daikichi and Rin's relationship hit new hurdles that only show how strong a bond they have developed. Daikichi starts to show his age which places question about their future in his mind while Rin develops a need to look into the past.This volume goes back to the central relationship between Rin and Daikichi with less of a focus on the side relationships that other recent volumes, with the exception at the end which sets the stage for a new interesting relationship to be developed.The series continues to be a must read for any slice-of-life fan.

I found out about this manga when I was working at Books-A-Million and it just touched me in a way that other stories haven't. It has a good sense of humor and the plot hits home so to speak. It makes you have that feeling that there is faith in humanity as a whole. It is definitely worth a read from beginning to here because it makes you realize what it is like to be an adult if you haven't already experienced taking care of a child and watching them grow up into their own person. I will keep reading this as long as the artist continues the story.

Rin hat sich mit Kouki versöhnt und entwickelt zum ersten Mal so etwas wie Interesse an ihrer Herkunft und Vergangenheit. Soweit es ihr Gedächtnis angeht, war sie immer mit Daikichi zusammen - was ja erkennbar nicht stimmt. Also beginnt sie, mit Koukis Unterstützung in ihrem Familienregister und bei den entsprechenden offiziellen Stellen zu graben.Weil sie aber Daikichis Reaktion auf ihr neu erwachtes Interesse fürchtet, versucht sie ihre Nachforschungen geheim zu halten. Und als sie schliesslich herausfindet, wer und wo ihre Mutter ist, verläuft alles anders als erwartet.Diesmal wird -im Gegensatz zu den vorherigen beiden Bänden- die Geschichte wieder im normalen zeitlich Ablauf vorangetrieben. Mir persönlich gefällt das besser als die etwas seltsamen Rückblenden zuvor. Dazu kommt, dass Rins Mutter und ihr neuer Mann jetzt etwas mehr vorgestellt werden, was alles noch etwas dichter erscheinen lässt. Darum vergebe ich wieder 5 Sterne.
