Before I start, I wanted to say I originally tried to return it because Walmart sells one for $5, but Amazon told me to keep it and gave me my money back, so here's my review of the product.I recently transitioned over to filtered water because I forgot how good it tastes compared to tap water. I was getting bottled water for a bit but found out that it's much more environmentally friendly and economical to bottle my own water! I can bottle it myself at 40 cents per gallon. What a steal! However, buying a big bottle like this at a regular store was $17 and this was oh so slightly cheaper, so I decided to get it on here.It's made of thick plastic, and the handle seems sturdy. I was originally hesitant about the handle because it's a separate plastic part attached to the bottle while some other bottles have a hollowed out handle that's a continuous part of the bottle. I've held this bottle when it was full by the handle and it was okay. I still try to hold it from the bottom because it makes me nervous. I also try to hold it upright because the cap is a simple screw-on, and it feels like it could fall off though I've had this topple over in my car and had 0 spills occur.When I first got it, I simply gave it a good swish-a-roo with some dish soap and hot water from my bath tub. For one person, this will maybe last me a week before I go refill it again at a grocery store. I'm quite a small person (5'3", 110lbs) and this is a good weight for me to carry around with both hands. From experience in the past, I knew that getting a 5 gallon bottle would make me look like a struggling idiot in the store, so that was my main motive for getting the smaller size.All in all, this is a nice, sturdy bottle that I will keep using for a long time.

I purchased this for travel purposes. It had a really bad chemical smell to it. But I swooshed vinegar and rice in it for a good 5-8 minutes and took out the smell. I use filtered water and needed a way to transport it to our Florida destination as my water filter at home is a 6 gallon and is too big to travel. I purchased a small water filter pitcher so if we got low on the water I was able to refill a little at a time. We went away for 9 days and we had plenty of water left. The handle on this is great and very convenient filling up baby bottles. The jug is big enough but not too big and holds 5 gallons of water. You can use regular water in it if you wish, but we like to remove fluoride and all the metals and chemicals from our water, and add natural minerals as water was meant to be drunk. It kept the water fresh and the cap is wonderful to be able to seal it from anything getting inside. We will be using this again and again every time we travel. If you have any questions, ask away. Nice water jug. However I returned because the handles are not molded with the jug and can be removed fairly easy.

I have several Glacier Water Stations near me and I use this to refill for home use on a weekly basis. I do not have a Glacier Water cooler at home. I just manually pour it from this 5 Gal. container into a pitcher as needed. Works as expected. It can be a hassle of lugging it around from home to vehicle, from vehicle to water station, from water station back to vehicle, then from vehicle back into the home, all for $1.30 of water. However, to me it's worth my time and effort. If you don't have tap water filtration at home/office, this is an inexpensive way to have filtered water on hand. The handle is a nice touch to have better control of transporting it as well as if you manually pour into another container. Hope this helped.

Good size, not too heavy after filling, made in the USA, BPA free... the only thing better would be a healthier, yet still light, container that doesn't contain any chemicals at all (BPS)!

Very pleased with this water jug! I just recently switched from individual bottled water to a water cooler, due to BPA. I was looking for an extra jug to have on hand. In my local store, a 3 gallon jug similar to this is $19.99. This price cannot be beat! The jug is sturdy and does not leak. On the way home from filling it up, I accidentally knocked it over in the car. No leakage at all! I may order another jug down the road, and if/when I do, I will look for another Glacier bottle on Amazon.

I live near earthquake faults. And so, I decided to be prepared for the worst. This bottle appears to be (feels) very sturdy. I was afraid that the dark blue, plastic handle would be wimpy. But it's actually very solid. The plastic on the bottom of the bottle seems to be rather thick which will hopefully allow it to withstand concrete floors. I've had my share of plastic water bottles over the years, and this seems like a good one.

Returned the first one because the bottle wasn't sealed where the handle attaches and so was leaking. The replacement is holding water, but it does feel like the weight while full may eventually cause the handle to separate from it.
