Great kit, got this for my son!

Can be fiddly to fit, but once you get used to the instructions and crack on, it's relatively easy to fit and looks great once on. The sticky pads are difficult to handle, so need extra care, but well worth the effort

GOOD PRODUCT

I’ve always been intrigued about these kits so I decided to have a go at fitting my own. First and foremost this is fiddly, the junction boards are so small but once you get the hang of them they are easy to connect to. I would advise using the self-adhesive pads until you are happy with the installation. On the subject of the pads, these are poor, any grease transfer from your fingers immediately renders them ineffective, if this is a permanent installation then I’d probably recommend some type of adhesive or at least good quality double-sided tape. As can be expected the Lego bricks will never fit flush due to the wiring but is good enough. If you use a display stand check the weight of the battery pack, may cause instability. After installing this kit I would probably source all the items online. Overall very impressive.

This item was a little fiddly to fit but I think that is more to my sausage fingers than the actual kit. It looks amazing when it’s powered up. Will be looking at other kits by this company for my other models.

Bought this kit and was extremely disappointed. Given the price you’d think it would actually work but no. If the front lights are switched off, the back lights work, if the front lights are on, none of the lights work.

This was a birthday present for my adult son who is a theatre lighting technician and Star Wars fan - not working at the moment as the theatre is closed. He loves making things light up! He loved this. You don’t need technical aptitude to make it work.

This kit is not for children and as an adult I found the installation challenging at times and it took me several hours of fiddling to get the wires and LED’s in place. As someone who now wear glasses due to being 50. I had to use magnifying eyeglasses over the top to plug the connectors. The common issues with the other reviews is the sticky pads for the rear lights. They just don’t stick to the LED’s (maybe because they are small and once you’ve handled them to get them off the backing paper they just loose their adhesion.) Also the method of powering it all let’s it down - a large battery box for 3 AA batteries or a USB cable both have far too short cable to connect to the model. shame it couldn’t be powered by button cells that could have been fixed to the undercarriage. For some reason the Red LED’s in my kit don’t flash, which was annoying as the flashing LED’s add some dynamism to the model and one of the reasons I made the purchase. (I’ve emailed their customer services but have yet had a response). When completed it does change the look and feel of the model and for someone who displays rather than plays with their Lego kits this does take the kits up a level. Is it worth the £35 asking price, if I’m honest No it’s not and I would say this is for diehard modellers who are happy to spend over the odds for the look it provides. This would have been a five star review, but it lost a star for the adhesive pad issue and another star for the supplied Red LED’s not flashing. If Briksmax customer services ever reply and sort out the Red LED issue satisfactorily for me then I’ll add the star.

These worked great, but a bit tricky to put on. Instructions were fine. Just takes patience and care.

Produit sympa pour "pimper" le faucon ! Très complet, notice explicite. Les double-faces pour coller les LEDs mériteraient d'être un peu plus forts mais ce n'est pas un problème. J'ai eu un problème avec un câble défectueux : Briskmax contacté par email le samedi 25/12, réponse personalisée (pas un email standard) le lundi 27/12 au matin. 2 câbles expédiés le jour même, sans aucun frais, réception le 06/01 avec en + un petit cadeau dans le paquet ! Bon produit + super SAV = 5* pour moi.
