Instantly removes egg chalaza from the yolk. Chalaza is the cloudy gel attached to the egg yolk. Look closely and it looks like a coiled up rope inside. Many people prefer to have this removed.

Okay, I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but I know I'm not alone: Handling freshly cracked eggs has always made my stomach turn because of the gross chalaza. This product helps in cleaning-up eggs before cooking. Caution is necessary to keep from breaking the yolk but the company explains that the egg should be fresh. I fairly sure this too actually shows how fresh an egg is because sometimes it's more difficult than other times to make the changes/removal. It is a very helpful tool and a good value for the money.

The egg chalaza remover did work great for me until it broke. Used for about 4 1/2 months.

Love this tool. Sure beats the way we were trying to do it before. Egg yolk does sometimes get broken if I’m a bit too aggressive in going after every little bit, but same with any other technique.

I didn't even know what the white part of an egg had a name! But all my life I always pulled it off my eggs. A friend told me about this tool and it truly does the trick and with a steady hand, the chalaza can easily be picked right off the raw egg!! Definitely worth the price!

I think the design has an issue because of the metal tongs, they can shift easily making separating the Chalaza from the egg almost impossible. Six tries and I still didn't manage to remove the Chalaza completely. The old Chalaza remover which was made of plastic worked so much better. Unfortunately, that company stopped making them. The issue with the metal is that even if you get the tong handles to fit properly there are still gaps in the closure of the rounded part. I think a redesign would help.

Too be very candid, it worked okay, until the one of the clips fell off. 🙄You're better of purchasing a food tong for a fiver, which works even better, and has multiple uses.🙂Don't waste your money!😑

Perfect. Does exactly what it says it will do. That one review that mentioned that it was useless unless you break the yoke? I have absolutely no idea what he is talking about as it works great.
