I got this replacement bulb for my Sharp Carousel microwave which had its lightbulb burned out a while back. It was very easy to install. Four screws to remove, pull the shroud off, remove the power cables (one of them has a small lever to depress, pop out the old one. Then repeat all those steps in reverse. Easy as can be. It works and lights up the oven well enough, but it doesn't feel it is as bright as the original incandescent bulb. I don't know if that's because the old one was brighter than 20 watts or if the new LED bulb isn't actually 20 watts. In any case it isn't as bright. That's fine though as light in it isn't the end of the world and it is bright enough.

The bulb for my Sharp model SMC1452CH microwave oven was discontinued several years back. This LED bulb was a perfect substitute and an excellent value. For about $15 I got a replacement bulb plus a spare. It worked perfectly and was well worth the modest cost. For some microwave ovens (including mine), the screws that secure the cover are "tamper resistant", and you'll need a special driver to remove them. It is dangerous even when the oven is unplugged because capacitors store electrical charge. If you undertake this replacement yourself, please proceed with caution! This LED bulb is replacing an old incandescent bulb in a small Black&Decker microwave oven. It works well, has a cool color to it and doesn’t heat up like the old bulb used to. For the replacement in this particular microwave oven, one needs a Torx (star shaped) screwdriver to take the top cover off, and a pair of pliers helps for the electrical contacts at the bulb. So far so good!

Was really a pain to install - not their fault, the designers of the microwave are at fault here. First you need a special security driver and you have to remove the entire cover of the microwave. From there swapping out the bulb was easy. But putting the cover back on was really a pain. It took two people to be able to thread the sides into the proper slots on opposite sides of the unit at the same time. Image steering a sheet of metal 4 feet long and 2 deep bent into a square C shape with papercut sharp edges into slots that have an over-under lip. The bulbs are great though and I hop it lasts until the whole unit dies. I don't ever want to have to replace them again!

The bulb works great and was a direct drop-in for my GE microwave. The only drawback is that it is a very blue-white light. I wish it came in a warm white. But we have gotten used to the different color of the light. Being that it is an LED, it should last a long time. Too bad it only came as two pack - I don't imagine I will ever need the second bulb.

Although I regret my Toshiba microwave purchase, I don't regret this purchase. I have had issues since I bought my microwave, and Toshiba has been apathetic at best in being responsive. Recently my microwave bulb started strobing like a 1970's disco I was ready to throw it out because it wasn't only beyond annoying, but also because Toshiba was no help and only directed my to buying the entire lighting unit for 30 bucks which was unnecessary. Sadly, when I bought mine there were nothing but great reviews everywhere, but now all I see is this being a common issue and complaint with my model and Toshiba takes no responsibility. Luckily, I came across a few people here who confirmed this fit the same model. I got this installed in less than 5 minutes and this light is actually brighter than the original - and I have a spare for the future as well. The only advice I would have outside of avoiding Toshiba microwaves is to ensure you know how to discharge the capacitor or don't try to work on it in any capacity because the risk of severely shocking yourself or even dying is a real possibility.

After reading some of the reviews on similar bulbs from different suppliers, I was hesitant to select this one but glad I did. It fit perfectly into the slot of my Hamilton Beach microwave and, is much brighter giving off a whiter light. I would estimate the original bulb that came with the oven was a more yellow bulb at a color temperature of about 4000K where, this new bulb is an LED and looks like it is around 6000-6500K, much whiter. I've just installed it so not sure how it will work long term but, so far, no complaints and I highly recommend it.

If you have a Sharp smc1452ch Carousel microwave then your original light bulb is dead and you're here looking for a replacement. I can confirm that this bulb does work. In the pictures, the old bulb is on the left and has a frosted cover. The new bulbs are clear glass. Replacement is fairly simple. Unplug the microwave. Remove the metal body. You will need a security torx bit to remove 6 screws. 5 on the back and 1 on the side. Then slide the cover towards the back and lift it off. Mine was slightly stubborn at the top of the control panel but I just worked it slow and gave it a little wiggle. Be careful around the capacitor inside. Some say it can shock you. Once the cover is off you can see the bulb. Unplug the bulb. Bend the 2 metal tabs up and lift the bulb out. Install and plug in the new bulb then bend the tabs back down. The new bulb is bigger and seems at first like it won't fit but it does. Replace the cover and you're all set. I can't comment on the longevity of this bulb yet but if it dies quickly I will update this review. Good luck!

Lo instale en el micro y trabajo perfectamente

When I ordered this one I was not sure if it would fit or not. But man when I got it I was very glad I did. I have the Panasonic nnst651b which is an old model but a great one and it is a big size oven and never found its model number anywhere on Amazon and yet the lamp fits perfectly without any problem. Installation was very easy and best of all this lamp is an LED lamp and I love the daylight color to it. I'm happy I got it and would buy again definitely. This kind of lamp fits huge number of Microwave oven models, so chances are this bulb would fit your model too. But make sure to open your oven safely and check the bulb.
