Dritz Mighty Travel Iron

This is a very handy iron for applique and other small tasks. I like how quickly it heats. It gets hot enough to easily work fusible backings. It isn't great with steam -- I haven't found an iron that is. I use a spray bottle or a pressing cloth and skip putting water in the iron. Overall, I really like the iron.

An absolute must for Foundation Paper Piecing when quilting. It heats quickly and DOESN'T shut off until turned off or unplugged. Can't operate without one by my machine.

I have this little iron and a wool pressing mat next to my sewing machine. Can easily press seams as I make my quilt blocks.

Nice craft/quilt iron for taking to class. The iron does produce a nice amount of steam. However, the iron takes over 20 minutes to cool down. If you are transporting after a class you will need to invest in a travel case designed for transporting a hot iron. I have only used this iron a few times so I cannot review on the longevity.

Love this little iron. Great hand hold, good ironing surface plate, quick to heat and does a great job. Have bought several as gifts too!

I loved the size of this iron. Received it Oct 2 2023 and it quit working December 10, 2023. I’m unsure if the water reservoir broke but all the water ended up on my quilt blocks, it blew our breakers several times (including in the middle of longarming a quilt) and no longer heats up.I reached out to the company via email and they responded the SAME DAY! I mailed the iron back based on their warranty on December 30. I received a brand new iron (with improvements) and a nice note on January 6! I am SO VERY IMPRESSED with this customer service!

I can iron right next to the sewing machine which helps when piecing fine detailed material. Husband doesn't need to get out the big ironing board and iron anymore.

Nice size, gets plenty hot quickly, and nonstick soleplate. This was a replacement for an older one, but the plastic cord protector broke right away, annoyance but still works fine.

Purchased for piecing when you are quilting. I use with a wool mat and works great. Iron fits nicely in your hand and easy to use. Definitely recommend.
