Test run these on carpet before using them.
Let me start by saying these boots are very well constructed, as you would except from Danner. That being said, I have worn these boots for about a month now and have found them to be somewhat uncomfortable. I cannot lace them very tight or for some reason they put pressure on my ankles and they begin to hurt after just a short while. I have tried just about everything I can think of to remedy this, move the tongue one way or the other, lace differently, the only thing I can do is leave them laced loose. Also they are waterproof but they don't breath like Gortex and if your feet sweat like mine your socks will be damp by the end of the day, which when you live in a cold climate make for cold feet. I live in Ohio and in January it can be in the single digits some days, even with heavy wool socks my feet are still damp and cold.I used their sizing chart when I ordered the first pair and hand to send them back because they were 1/2 to small and narrow. I normally wear a size 10 and had to order 101/2 EE.I recommend wearing these on carpet for a while to see if they going to be comfortable enough to wear all day like I do. I made the mistake of trying them on and then wearing them to work.I have worn Danner's before and not had a problem but this particular boot just doesn't fit my foot.

Not that great!
Hi!. I bought the boots a few weeks ago, as I am in the military. I have to say that I did not test them to see if they're really waterproof or not. So on that aspect I have no clue, Ill just have to take the word of other people that did reviews on them.Pro:1. Coyote colour leather and waterproof.2. They look like they can take a beating.3. Comfortable to wear, but not for running or soldiering.Negative:1. Not that light, for a boot that is design to be used by the military. But I guess it beats what you're issued.2. In a 25-40 Degrees Celsius (77-120 Fahrenheit) with high humidity, your feet are gonna get soaked, so don't think there is any ventilation. You need to change a lot of socks.3. Went on a mission and at one time I wore them for 48h, climbing hills and running a lot with full gear. Must say that my feet didn't enjoy the boots that well. Compared to other cheaper brands, these boots are not that comfortable. And your feet and boots smell bad after using them for hours.4. Their real European size is 42, although on them it says 43 (9D-US)If you NEED waterproof boots, get it i guess. More so if it needs to be Coyote colour. But if you don't need that colour, get something else.

right boot was like a 1/2 size smaller and binds in the ankle
I have been wearing Danners for 15 years and they always fit as described with high quality. This newer design of all there military boots except the ones made in USA that is missing the loop on the back for getting your foot in the boot is missing has left me perplexed. They do not fit as sized, right boot was like a 1/2 size smaller and binds in the ankle. Very disappointed. Would rather pay more money than have Danner cut quality control and reduce quality of boot.

Great boots, Great company!
I have always bought Danner. They usually last me 4-5 years before the sole wears completely out. The first pair I got with this order, started coming apart at the seams after 2 mos but they warrantied them out. The second pair I have had for 6 mos and they are holding up great! They stand behind their products. I love these boots! Comfortable.

Great quality; runs half size small; takes a few weeks to break in (especially the ankle)
I love the way these look, I think they seem very durable and well-made, I like the lace garage, and I like how lightweight they are. However, they are extremely stiff and run small. Breaking them in takes a while, especially the leather around the inside of the ankle—that area is very stiff and rubs a lot. I’ve been wearing them for about a week now and they are starting to loosen up and feel more comfortable so I think giving it another week or so and they’ll be great. I think they’re sweet but just know it’ll take a while to break in and that you should get a half size bigger.

New Outdoor Boots
Fit is great, right in the middle of my other two pair of Danner Boots (Pronghorns a little to tight, Ridgemasters a little too much room). Wore them around the house for two days (8 hrs the first, 12 hours the second) and that's all the break in that was necessary. High expectations for performance in wet conditions.

Overall comfortable but tight when breaking in
The boot provides a lot of ankle support, stability, and very durable. However, when i was breaking them in i had to be very cognizant how how tight i laced the boots because i found if i tightend the laces all the way up, it would put a lot of pressure on the top of my foot just forward of the ankle. But if i kept the laces tight around the foot and loose around the ankle, they would fit perfectly.A little tight around the toes so i recommend going a half size bigger.

I was told these boots run true to size, ...
I was told these boots run true to size, but they were too small and hurt my feet. Be warned. This vendor will not accept a return of exchange for a larger size.
