Sweet Apple pepper (capsicum annuum) Origins; Hungary It is really easy to write a listing when you love a plant as much as i love these chiles...Yes they are chiles and they are capable of heat....whatever, this just IS a fantastic sweet pepper that happens to be a chile. None grown here in the deep freeze had any heat I could detect and wow are they sweet--- there is not a single hybrid bell pepper that can compare to this heirloom. I am placing this pepper in my top 10 sweet peppers of all time. This plant is not only a good producer it is tough, when we had that cold snap in late August it wiped out some of the sissy hot pepper plants at 38F the Sweet Apple just sneezed and got it done with beautiful fruit 4 weeks later. For taste I would place it with very few: Lipstick, Ljubov, Nardello, Zolotoy and a few others that I have not had time to list yet.
