Whirley-Pop Stovetop Popcorn Popper

Had mine for years now and while I've burned a few places on the bottom, and the marks stayed after cleaning, it works perfectly. Faster than the microwave, and so much tastier!

This review is for the aluminum version, which works fantastically. This quickly creates perfectly-popped popcorn with no unpopped kernels.Prior to this purchase, I was using a pot on the stove, but after changing cookware, popcorn did not pop as well in my heavier-bottomed pot. The lid with its steam-release holes combined with the turning mechanism is far more effective than using a traditional pot and lid, shaking it and trying to maintain an air gap between lid and pot.Popcorn is done in 1-2 minutes. It’s ridiculously fast. As per other reviews, aluminum is a better material for popcorn making due to quick heating. You don’t need this pan to hold heat, just heat and cool quickly. I’m glad I listened to those reviews and didn’t purchase the more expensive stainless version.The popcorn is so much better (and cheaper) than microwave popcorn. I love that the pot is easy to clean, and with no electronic parts, will last decades. I’m not usually a fan of unitaskers, but this is well worth the storage space.I’ve had this for nearly a year now. Highly recommend.

If my family wants pop corn we want the BEST tasting popcorn...not the microwave version...c'mon! We've had our Whirly Pop popper for years and each time it delivers the perfect popped corn. We add a touch of melted butter and salt or sometimes we drop some shredded cheese on top for the hot/cold effect ;-). The corn begins to pop super fast and smells soooo good!. Whirly pop is easy to clean and store so it's ready when you get the popcorn craving. I recently purchased another one for our cabin and for our adult son. It's the perfect gift! I have had mine for well over 20 years and it's still in great condition. Great company and great product.

I bought this and some Amish popcorn for my husband’s Birthday. We love our movie nights together at home, and always make popcorn. This works great at making sure 99.9% of all the kernels popping. We use ghee and it makes wonderful healthy popcorn for us to enjoy. Easy to use, and easy to clean.

I’ve made microwave popcorn and air popper popcorn and jiffy pop in the expanding foil pan on the stove and also just in a 1-2 quart sauce pan and this whirly pop beats them all hands down! It’s wonderful and pops really fast and all you do is keep turning the handle for the best popcorn ever! Almost every single kernel pops! You do need to watch out for the steam coming out of the holes on the lid cuz it smarts if you get a shot of that steam on you arms/hands. I’m so glad I finally purchased this device! Every household should have one!!

Works great but has one minor flaw: the clip holding one side of the lid keeps coming loose. You can bend it tighter bit it still comes off when pouring the finished popcorn out the flapside.

The media could not be loaded. We love popcorn in this house. So obviously we had to try this and we are in love. It makes popping popcorn literally so easy. We melt salted butter in the microwave and put on top after it’s popped with salt *chef’s kiss* perfection. Our toddler enjoys turning the crank too. This is surprisingly lightweight. Works great. Just wish it was easier to store.
