Leviton GFCI Outlet with Guidelight, 15 Amp, Self Test, Tamper-Resistant with LED Indicator Light, Replaces Plugged in Night Light, GFNL1-W, White

I personally would have liked a slightly brighter LED, but it does put out enough light to make a countertop visible and eliminates the need for a separate night light which frees up an extra outlet. That is well worth the extra few dollars.Purchased an installed 7 altogether and tested them. All have been working great (about 1 month). No issues so far, and all of my other electrical hardware (regular outlets, switches, etc.) from Leviton have lasted years so I'm hoping and anticipating these to be just as reliable as their other products.

I wanted to replace my ancient garbage disposal, which was hardwired. Most new units have a plug-in cord, so I needed to replace the original switch with a combo socket/switch unit. Although it is easy to wire the switch to control the socket, the instructions provided did not show a diagram of this particular configuration. [There are two black switch wires - connect one wire to the incoming black (hot) wire. Connect the second swich wire to the hot (line) side of the outlet and connect the white (neutral) to the neutral side of the outlet. Connect the ground to its screw on the socket.)Note: The GFCI green lite is off unless the switch is on! Plugged in the new disposal and everything works fine. The combo unit comes with its own cover plate, which is a plus. Also, it is not very bulky and installed easily in my old box. Recommended.

TLDR: Installing this outlet was simple and straightforward. The "smart" features detected a potentially life-threatening problem in how the builder had installed the original GFI outlet.Here's the Too Long part...The GFI outlet in my garage popped for no apparent reason a couple of times in the past few weeks. It's 15 years old, and the first step to finding a solution was to replace it.I chose this Leviton outlet because it is a well-known name, and I didn't bother to read all the other words in its description. More on that later.I'm no electrician, but I still know how to replace an outlet. The first thing I did was to flip the breaker that supplied power to the outlet. The second thing I did was to test the outlet with my  Gardner Bender GFI-3501 Ground Fault Receptacle Tester  to make sure the power was off.Preliminaries completed, I removed the faceplate, pulled the outlet from the wall, took pictures of how the wires were connected, and connected this new outlet the same way.When I turned the power back on, the little green light on the outlet went on, but there wasn't any power to the outlet.I checked the documentation, and it explained this exact situation perfectly; the Line and Load connections were reversed. A close look at the wires from the junction box bore that out. Everything worked perfectly after I corrected the connections.I checked the photos I took at the beginning and looked at the imprinted back of the original GFI outlet. It also had the load and line connections reversed, but it wasn't "smart" enough to point it out. The result was the lack of any GFI protection for the other outlets downstream from the GFI outlet.

This is nice. It was pretty simple to install, except that I was really looking for the push-in connections. Instead, this has ONLY wires coming out. If you need to push 4 wire nuts back into a box, hope your box is deep enough. Fortunately, mine was, just barely. Otherwise, seems solid so far. Has been installed only a short period of time. Test worked though, so can't complain too much.

Was looking for an outlet with USB ports since we got toothbrush chargers with USB plugs, and usually charge our watches (more USB plugs) when in the shower. One receptacle we wanted to change was GFCI - so this was the result of asking "can you even get a GFCI receptacle with USB charging ports?". A little brand bias - All my receptacles and switches are Leviton.Installing was a little tight - this thing is large - thankfully the box I was installing it into was a pretty decent size. Combine the tight space with 12 ga wiring, and in/out wires to the box - yeah - it was a little tight.Tested it with a socket tester - GFCI works well. USB charging works well.

I replaced a regular outlet in my bathroom with this GFCI outlet. Installation was easy and the outlet works as expected.

I installed this on the wall above my kitchen counter. The built in night light is bright enough that you can see where you are going without any other lights on, but is not too bright. As far as ease of installation, it installs like any other GFCI receptacle, so if you know how to do that properly, you are all set with this unit. It is dimensionally that same as a standard GFCI receptacle.I put 3 stars for "weatherproof", because this can be used outdoors, but, as any other receptacle, requires a weather proof box and cover. This would make the night light feature rather irrelevant.

Bought to replace a receptacle by my front door. Was having trouble finding a black one. This one had great Amazon reviews and good pricing. Easy to install. So far so good.

Leviton products are reliable and well-built. They're packaged well and are the same item you would get at the orange big box store. I like how it is clearly marked as weather-resistant. When it comes to electrical, purchasing reputable brands is important to ensure safety testing and certifications are met. No point to risk fire or injury just to save a couple of bucks. Highly recommended.
