Acts (New Cambridge Bible Commentary)

Delicious!

First time reading through acts and this book has been wonderful in providing insight and commentary on the book about the really church. It has really helped me in teaching my bible study over Acts. 10/10 would recommend anyone to buy. Do be careful trying not to bend the spine since it is a soft cover book.

A Must have Commentary on Acts - Dr. Keener has become well known as a scholar, and practical theologian in our day and time. He certainly doesn't disappoint with this edition on Acts. A must have for your library if you enjoy good Biblical literature.

Dr. Keener is a prolific exegetical author and his commentary is always helpful, enjoyable and eye opening. His Acts contribution in this series is no exception. It is very accessible to lay readers and will not bog you down in the mire of linguistic analysis, but will give you things to consider.

Expansive historical background research and helpful theological insight. This is now one of my 3 go-to commentaries on Acts. Every Pastor and serious Bible student should own this valuable resource.

This book has really reinforced my learning and understanding of Acts. I love Keener's insight and how he explains the Scripture.

This commentary is useful as a starting point to jump back into other commentaries, find journal articles, or get useful Scripture references. Yet the reader hoping for serious exposition that answers tough questions will be disappointed from time to time. This volume is broad, but not deep, in expository value.
