Das große Bildwörterbuch Englisch-Deutsch: Über 35.000 Wörter und Wendungen Flexibound – 1 Oct. 2015

I am an English speaker, trying to learn German. I am using this book for learning new German words. Sometimes my German partner also takes interest and shares his opinion on some words. So here are the honest pros and cons:+ the book is good quality, glossy pages, nice pictures. It feels more expensive than it actually costs;+ it does contain a lot of words!BUT- a lot of the words from the book are irrelevant for language learners (I.e. you generally don’t need to know the contraction of water pipes or the name of each part of body of a rabbit)- some words are not translated properly (not sure if the authors have been using Google translate for the English part? Also, according to my partner, some German words are not the ones commonly used, e.g. “Klosettbecken” is not a usual word for a toilet).All in all, some people may find it helpful, but others may be confused. So 4 stars from me!
