3M 8210V Particulate Respirator with Cool Flow Valve, Grinding, Sanding, Sawing, Sweeping, Woodworking, Dust, 10/Box

I bought a box of these to have on hand for emergency and also to use in my wood working shop. I have tried 3 other brands and decided that it was easier to breath the dust than to fight with the mask. These are shaped to fit an adult face much better than the El Cheapo 10 for a dollar masks and the valve on front is a very nice feature that prevents your glasses from fogging up and allows you to breath a lot easier, especially when they start getting plugged up. The straps are the same ones that come on the cheaper masks but the mask material is about 4 times thicker and softer material. Very comfortable if wearing for long periods of time. I think the straps will last much longer on these because you aren't taking them off every few minutes so you can breath and clean your glasses. I don't know how durable they are, but one has lasted for several weeks of sawing, sanding and painting in the shop and although it is getting pretty dirty it is still doing the job. Usually the cheaper ones only last a couple of sessions. I think these are worth the little extra you pay for them.

For a good, comfortable mask which can be worn with eyeglasses and not fog them up, this is really a good buy, and nice quantity to keep on hand. They are very comfortable, and the dual bands keep the mask fit and secure on your face while you work. The adjustable band on the nose piece helps it to seal very, very well, and the outlet valve is the clue to not fogging your glasses. This is NOT a fume mask for protection against solvents or pesticides, note the product description: "This respirator is designed for use for particles such as those from grinding, sanding, sweeping, sawing, bagging, or other dusty operations. I picked these up due to all wildfires we have been having in northern California. The difference it makes has been huge! I gave a handful to my friends and coworkers, and it has helped them a lot too. The only problem I have with these is that the elastic bands are a tad too short for those with larger heads. They also come with a fairly strong smell, so try airing them out a bit before wearing them.

These are the best masks for being an attic and crawl spaces especially if you're wearing glasses or safety glasses The relief valve in the middle of the mask allows the air to travel out without steaming up your lenses

This is the N95 mask of choice for overall dusty conditions outside or inside. For some reason the 3M 8511 Particulate Sanding N95 Respirator with Valve works a little better in venting than this one. Not sure of the difference. You can go through one a day, don't skimp, pull out another when this stops up...and it will. Sneeze into it...it's done for a while, pull it off, let it dry and try it again later. Be aware that vigorous exercise is very trying on respiratory capacity and the cardiovascular system while wearing a respirator like this. If the user has normal breathing difficulties, they should contact a qualified physician to ensure that they have the lung capacity to wear a respirator. If the mask becomes covered with dust INSIDE after your use...don't use it anymore. This product on Amazon was priced in larger quantities at about 1/2 the price per mask that I could buy them in big box lumber/construction stores.

I have developed reactive airway disease, which is not a good thing when a person farms for a living. I use these masks to reduce the sheer quantity of particulates (especially dust) that I'm exposed to when working outdoors. Especially during times when the hot summers and north winds create mounds of dust on every surface. As masks go, it's bearable. No one likes to have their face trapped in steamy exhalation all day but....the venting helps a lot. I do end up with heavy perspiration on my face that is inside the mask on the hotter days. But all in all, this keeps me working and helps reduce my coughing from particulate exposure. For the price, it's a great value, and if the masks are cared for by keeping them clean and being gentle with the elastic straps, they are reusable for days. My only wish is that instead of the elastic being "one size fits all" that they could have an adjustable elastic strap. When first put on they can feel very tight.

These mask are too small. The rubber band that goes around the back of my neck is so tight that I almost passed out from wearing one. It's stapled, so there's no way to make it longer. I could cut string holes in the mask and put a string on it, but then the mask would have holes in it.

Ordered two and received 9 face masks in one pack instead of 10 and the other pack had 10 face masks.
