Curlformers Heatless Hair Curlers - Deluxe Barrel Curl Range for Extra Long Hair up to 24" - 16 No Heat Barrels & Styling Hook for Healthy, Damage-Free Curls

I just got these on Saturday (it's Monday now). I ordered 2 of the 16 packs (Barrel curls for 24" hair) since I have longer hair. Within half an hour I had all of my hair in 16 curlers! 😆 That's a win for me since I'm pretty much inept with other curlers or curling irons! 🙈 I did prefer having two sets (32 curlers) over just one set (16 curlers) for several reasons: ease of application, drying time. However, 16 curlers are waay easier to keep out of your face than 32! ...but that's not the point of curling your hair, is it! 😉 So here's some tips that I'll suggest since there seems to be some disagreement on how easy/difficult they are to put in: 1) Read the instructions! ...and then do EVERY step. Here's why... 2) When choosing a portion of you hair for a single curler, keep it in a small area of scalp. It stays on the hook better with smaller sections of hair and dries faster. So, as much as possible, select a square/circle of hair and leave any distantly growing strands for a different curler!! 3) Comb each strand. Because you don't want tangles or kinky curls. 4) Twist all the strands together close to the roots! This is VERY critical especially if you're having tangling issues. ALL the strands need to be inside the pull hook to avoid tangling. Give it a couple of tight twists to be sure you've got them all. 5) Keep the hook facing up and pull like you're casting a fishing pole. Or like you're using one of those tennis ball launchers for dogs...same idea. Just better than pulling it straight through. This just helps keep the hair on the hook once you've got it all on there. Also key for avoiding tangling! 6) Once you've hooked your hair, hold the end of the curler close to your scalp and PULL STEADILY. Don't stop. If you do stop, you risk backing some of the hair off the hook, and then tangling. 7) If it tangles, STOP PULLING. Hold the pulling stick still and with your other hand pull the fat end of the curler towards your head, up over the end of the hook (gathered on your hair) so you can manually unhook your hair. If you can pull the tangled part of your hair straight, comb it out and grasp either end of the curler, pulling it to its full length and let it curl up your hair. Otherwise, just re-do the whole thing. That's all of my suggestions for now. I'll update later when I've had more chances to really work with these. But remember, I'm pretty terrible at doing my own hair. I have 3 default hair settings: bun, braid, or down (forget flat ironing or curling irons!). If you're having some trouble, try re-reading the instructions, and try again...slowly. You'll get the hang of it!

I just used these curformers today. I have hair that is in the range 3c/4a. Very kinky at the roots and it gets wavy at the ends, it is quite long, just below shoulder length, and I just have a lot of hair. Based on the recommendations it said that you needed at least 40 to cover a whole head. I purchased 4 boxes (64 total) to cover my whole head. And yes I needed all 64. Once you get the hang of it they are really easy to use, and you don't necessarily need to be looking in the mirror to put them in, but it does help you plan the layout of where they go. I decided not to sleep in them, waaayyy too many to sleep in and I just used the my soft hood bonnet to dry them in sections. 64 curformers did not fit in my dryer bonnet. If the makers of these curformers say that their soft hood dryer bonnet does fit 64 curformers I would like to see this item for myself, or it would be nice if they considered making a soft hood dryer bonnet that big. I do suggest to those that may have said your hair comes out when they remove them to make sure you untwist the former and pinch open the end closest to your head before sliding them off, it will release the constriction the curler is placing on your hair. Either way the end product was beautiful. My family loved it. Make sure you place them as close as possible to your roots if you have kinky hair/roots to give your hair a consistent look all over. Definitely highly recommend this product for indirect heat or no heat styling! One last thing, the hooks that come with the curlformers are quite solid. It would be nice if they were easier to pull back apart. They do need to be solid but i had to use a towel to add more grip to my hands to pull them apart.

They pull out hairs when taking out. Curls turn out pretty. Not easy to put in every time. They get stuck on your hair and the stick sometimes. Which pulls out more hairs. Might be a little easier with short hair. I lose hair already to easily so I guess that's why I mind it pulling on my hair so much. Hence why I avoid heat etc. So good for special/specific reasons. Not a normal basis thing for me.

It curled okay, but took quite a while to dry and it was pretty much impossible to sleep with these curlers in. My hair is also kind of stubborn about curls and they went flat within an hour or two. Might work well for others but definitely wasn't something I was able to use. I ended up returning mine because it was far to ineffective for me.

These were very difficult to pull my hair through. I found using smaller strands helped, but still very damaging to hair. Sleeping in them was a nightmare. Very uncomfortable to say the least. The next morning after torturing my hair, the curls did come out very nice, but my hair was damaged from the pulling it through. Used them once and gave them away to a friend who used them twice and she threw them away.

LOVE THESE!! My daughter's hair is very long, very thick & doesn't curl well. We tried these and LOVED the results! I got the glam pack just in case we needed a few extras, and I'm glad we did... we needed 2 or 3 extras to do my daughter's entire head of hair. The first time using them I was able to do my daughter's entire head of hair in 30 minutes! She says they're not all that comfortable to sleep in, but much better than sleeping in rollers. Would HIGHLY recommend them!! The first picture is after having them in for only a few hours, the second one (with the ribbon in her hair) was over night & fingers ran through the curls

I have thick hair and I needed 2 boxes of these. I could’ve used 1/2 of another too. Overall it took a little learning. But, they’re a great product I recommend using a hooded dryer with them as my head was very cold while wet.

After 6 months, I have only used this 3 times. For me, I have med-long thick straight hair, that usually cannot hold a curl which is why I tried this. CONS - takes way to long to dry 3-4 hours - doesn't hold after an hour without spray. If I use spray, my hair looks crazy unnatural Shirley temple curls - leaves hair very frizzy unless you can pull your hair through perfectly and no strands stuck out while drying. My hair is normally stick straight with no frizz -unbearable to sleep in, or during the day cannot go out for 3+ hours while it dries PRO - decent quality materials - glad it came with a bag, curls can get unruly Overall, this just doesn't work for my hair type. I admit I didn't know how to do my hair except just let it dry straight all my life. I knew you could braid your hair overnight, but thought this was a better concept. Nope, after I bought this, I learned how to french braid my hair and have better results. I rarely do anything to my hair so I think a hot curling iron every now and then won't damage my hair and take a fraction of the time.

Il prodotto si presenta bene esteticamente, nella scatola ci sono pezzi sufficienti per riempire completamente la testa. Da utilizzare con i capelli totalmente asciutti. Inserire le ciocche di capelli è facile ah, ma bisogna avere molta pazienza perché se le tieni su meno di 3 ore non potrai ottenere l'effetto desiderato! Per un bel effetto conviene applicare sui capelli bagnati un prodotto per capelli ricci asciugarli E poi iniziare ad inserire le ciocche nei bigodini, conviene metterli la mattina per avere i boccoli pomeriggio sera! Non si possono fare la sera prima per il giorno dopo perché durante la notte si smonta completamente il boccolo

I thought I’d try an alternative to hot irons, and I was not disappointed! I put my damp hair into the tubes and dried it with a hairdryer. The curls were amazing and instant. The only downside I can comment on, is that they’re uncomfortable and pull on your hair. But my curls were absolutely worth it.

So wie alles was man noch nie gemacht hat, erfordert es Übung und Geduld. Beides zeigt sich dann im Ergebnis. Ich habe vor mehreren Jahren ein größeres Kit bestellt, jedoch haben mir immer einige gefehlt für meine Mähne. Deshalb habe ich in dieses Kit investiert und beide haben dann gerade so gereicht. Ich benutze die Curlformers immer im nassen Haar, am besten benutzt man noch ein Haarspray oder Schaum vor dem Einfädeln. Entweder man lässt sie über Nacht drin oder ca 6 Stunden mit immer wieder anföhnen.

Pour le moment je n'ai acheté que des curlformers et je dois avouer que je n'ai jamais été déçue. Le seul petit bémol c'est que dans ce package pour cheveux extra long, le stick n'est pas aussi long quand dans le pack supérieur. Mais ca ne pose pas de problèmes au moment de la pose. Moi qui ait beaucoup de cheveux, ce kit suffit amplement pour faire toute la tête.
