Very durable and comfortable work boots
I’m really impressed with these work boots. The quality of the leather feels strong and durable, and they provide great support for long hours on my feet. They are comfortable, fit true to size, and have excellent traction. Perfect for work or outdoor use. After wearing them for several days, they still feel great and look amazing. Definitely a great purchase and I would buy them again!

AMAZINGLY WELL MADE, SUPPORTIVE, AND COMFORTABLE FOR ALL DAY!
I purchased these because of their practicality and durability and comfort. Caterpillar has a great reputation. I used to have Timberlands. But the new Timberlands I tried were inflexible and came with a defect. I returned those. I decided to try these because they had the specs I was looking for at a decent price: leather lace up work boots with ankle support and padded rims for all day work wear. Other things I wanted for a good work boot: steel or protective toe, durability, well made, high review score, flexible, comfort for work and all day wear, reputation of the company, and price points. I needed a boot with ankle support and a tall calf range boot for stability for work and bike. The boot also has some decent heft and is real leather uppers with a padded rim which is what I wanted. It makes a decent boot for bike riding. Comfort was an issue for me also because I am a tenderfoot. Hook eyelets were also what I wanted and a sturdy but bendable sole and no slip bottoms. This CAT boot has it all! The welt is genuinely stitch sewn with heavy duty waxed threads like you would expect with real leather work. It's not plastic made to look like stitches to the midsole. The sole and midsole is thickly layered onto a tread that allows the foot to flex and not feel rigid like some boots. It allows my feet to flex with some movement and never get sore. I bought a size 6. I generally wear a normal size 6 in all of my other boots (Timberlands, Justin, Forever 21, etc.). I wear a size 6.5 in running shoes depending on the brand. The Amazon bot recommended a size 6.5 but I trusted my hunch and went with the 6. The 6 fit me perfectly and I had plenty of wiggle room. I am 5'1" at 110 lbs with normal feet width. This size 6 normal width fit me perfectly. The inside has good padding and a decent man-made material insole. I tried them on for the first time and walked around for hours without any pain, fatigue, or any hitch. The next day I wore them for 13 hours on my feet in one day and they were supportive, solid, and as comfortable as comfy slippers. Then I went riding the next day for 4 hours and continued to wear these into the night. Total comfort all day! I already want to buy another pair before they change the design and price! Worth every penny to save my feet! The laces are thick and not overly long. I did not experience any bad tongue alignment or soreness either and so far so good. Inside and out these boots are working for me without any discomfort. I'll continue to wear them and further my review as needed later but for now, it's five stars! I may get another pair before the price goes up next year!

Pretty good stuff
I needed a pair of steel toe boots for stagehand work. I was testing the waters when I took up the position. I didn't know how long I'd be doing this kind of work, so I didn't want to spend tons of money for something I'd use for just a short period of time. (Quality steel toe boots are typically spendy.) At the same time, I didn't want a cheap pair either because cheap = low quality. I learned it the pretty hard way after my nice-looking $25 pair of steel toe boots fell apart after just about eight months or so. That said, I'm so glad I've found a pair of Cat Echo that was easy on the wallet. I scored a great deal on a used one here on Amazon. It was most likely gently used or previously had never been worn at all since it practically looked and felt brand-new. So far, it's a good pair of boots. Sure, it's not as comfortable as wearing slippers, but it has plenty of cushion, which makes it a lot easier for me to stand and walk for long periods. I don't even have to buy extra cushioned insoles. The pair also looks stylish. It also fits me just fine. It feels roomy for my narrow, small feet. I've read complaints in this review section on how it's too narrow for some people, but I have no issues whatsoever. Everybody is different, and every body is different. The only issue is that I hurt my ankle when I tightened up the laces, but I've found that if I lace the boots loosely but securely, I'm pretty much OK. It looks like this pair of boots is pretty versatile. I plan to use it for hiking too.

Order in your true size; be wary of the light color.
These were larger than expected- but that's because many of the reviews said to order a larger size- which I did. So by "fit as expected"- I really mean order your normal size. I typically wear an 8 in a tennis shoe, 7 1/2" in a heel/flat. I ordered an 8 1/2. Which was too large. I think these make my feet look huge- but at the same time that could be because they are a little too big. And partly because of the steel toe. By the time I got around to sending them back for an 8 I couldn't return them. So I can't attest to how they'd look in the right size. Otherwise I think they are a good-looking and cute boot. With a thicker sock I can wear them comfortably. Two things- these are a light gray. For some reason in some photos they have a purplish-blue hue. They are straight gray. There is an issue with this- as other reviewers mentioned EVERY single smidge shows up. Stain proof, weatherproof these puppies before you step foot outside. I needed a steel toe boot for when I do plant walks- but the facilities are pretty clean. Plus I am a clutz- if there is a mud puddle I'll find a way to walk in it. If you're concerned about these staying clean and work somewhere that can be very dirty- I wouldn't suggest these. Order something in black or dark brown. For example- these won't be my yard work boots because I need them to look clean and professional for work. However they are VERY comfortable right out of the box. I ordered two Keen athletic-shoe steel toes- and neither was a comfortable as these. The Keens got sent back. These boots are made well and I expect they'll last a long time. I like the design and they're not too high or low on my calves. That's why the get a 4 star. If you order in the right size and are aware of the color limitations- you'll be happy.

I love these!!!!
I expected the normal aching feet within the first 2 hours and nope, no pain, on my feet all day on concrete floor, building doors, constantly moving, lifting heavy objects, using power tools and saws and they worked perfectly. Ankle is secured, has some nice support, I'm flat footed so was cautious about a high arch, especially since most high arch soles can make my feet ache but still again, no pain. All day long. I ordered a half size up from what I normally wear because boots like these are meant to be worn with a heavy duty sock. When you first put them on there's a little bit of pressure around the foot, make sure you go back and correctly lace them up to how you need them before you start breaking them in. The more you wear, the more they break in. As the day went by I could feel them Start to mold to my feet more and more and typically when I get home I'm rushing to get my work shoes off and my slides on, nah, I'm still wearing these bad boys. Got so many compliments on them, asking what brand and where I got them and how cute but bada** they look. I love the color, I love the design, I love that I've found a heavy duty shoe for a job that is a demanding one. 10/10 I absolutely recommend these.

Worth the money!
Other's say it's true to US women's size, that's true. So if you're a wide foot, I bought 7w, I would go a half size up bc my right pinky toe is taking the hit. Took about 50hrs of wear time with double socks to get them to loosen up. It feels like wearing high quality inline skates with the weight, padding, ankle support and stiff soles. The insole they come with is good on the heels but very thin under the toes so do size up if you want thicker insoles for 12hr days. The waterproofing is well done because the tongue is connected to the boot right above the ankle. They're nice curb stompers, I like them a lot.

Good-looking but my feet are in hell
When these boots first arrived, I tried them on and walked around a bit to see how comfortable they were. They seemed alright. I felt like my feet and toes had enough space. That was before I put them to real use. Once I was in these for 8 hours a day, I realized how truly uncomfortable they were. There is leather on the outside, then there is a softer material on the inside that's supposed to provide a barrier between your foot and the stiffer leather. Well, the material on the inside that is touching the side of your pinky toe and big toe is thin. I can feel the stiff leather on the outside protruding inwards, causing chafing and calluses. These boots are really painful to my feet and it feels cramped. Maybe I should've ordered a wide size, but, as I said earlier, my feet felt fine before actual use. I have only worn these for three days to work but I'm already apprehensive about wearing these boots any more. I'm on my feet most of the time at work and steel toes are required for my job. I hope these boots get more comfortable over time. If not, my rating won't change. I am going to add orthotic inserts and maybe try to increase the size of the toe box by using a tennis ball to stretch the inside of the boot. And I also have to deal with the thin material on the inside of the boot. Maybe I'll just wear thicker socks. I will provide an update after these adjustments are made and the boots are worn for a while. UPDATE (Sept. 20, 2018): After my first 3 days of wearing these, I decided to wear thick wool socks to make shoe a bit bigger. I did this for 2 days. Then I went back to wearing them with normal socks. I was wowed at how they felt significantly more comfortable. I am giving them 3 stars now. I wish I could go higher but today, I discovered that my right sock had a hole in it. When I put the sock on, the hole is located in the area where the side of my big toe is. That part of my foot rubs up against the inside of the shoe and has a callus. Most of the time, the pain in my feet is not noticeable while wearing these. If it is, then it's most likely my toes. I don't know if it's the steel toe cap that is contributing to the pain but most likely. P.S. Bought these for $90. Have seen them being sold as high as $150. Not worth it at either of the prices.

Just right for the price
I don’t know what everybody’s talking about. Work boots aren’t supposed to be perfect and clean. That’s a sign that you’re a lazy worker. I like these boots because they were comfortable and they looked worn in and I felt like my boots represented a working person and not a lazy person. I bought them for my carpentry program at a trade school so that I could have work boots already worn in before I started my job. I think they look great with paint and drywall mud marks and scratches on them. They look like they are supposed to. They’re not a fashion boot they’re work boots. If you wanted a fashion boot, why did you buy a caterpillar product? Wannabes just buy some sketchers at the mall? These boots are just great for medium duty and they are not meant for posers- they’re made for trades workers.
