Nice Shoe Hammer
Have not used it yet. Seems to be well build

Poor quality hammer.
As everyone else has mentioned, the hammer head is loose. I’m going to try to fix it per another reviewers instructions, but you’re better off looking for another hammer if you haven’t already bought this.

Knew it would be loose, bought it to fix
I still bought the knowing (from reviews) the head is loose on arrival because it is a low price but also because the photo instructions of a previous comment made it easy to fix and make firm.Other than that, it works well for leather working. It causes no discernible marks or damage to the leather. So, quality for price is fine, minus one star for the needed fix upon arrival. Thanks for the warning everyone!

Don't waste your money
Wish I had read the reviews. The head is very loose. I will need to shim it or replace the handle before I can even use it. This is a really poorly made hammer.

5 Star - Materials, 3 Star - Poor assembly
A few reviews said the hammer head was slightly loose. I ordered it anyway because it was almost half the price compared to the Osborne 65 French hammer. When I received hammer, it was no surprise that the hammer head was not fitted firmly to handle . It was a Simple fix, see photos: Photo A & B - Use a plastic tube to slightly hammer the head down onto the handle. Photo B - Then use a screwdriver blade, and hammer down on the metal steel wedge so that it goes deeper about 1/8 inch (3.2mm) into handle. The hammer is now solid on handle. The steel hammer head & the wooden handle are of reasonable quality, but poor or rushed production assembly at the factory.

This hammer is a definite pass.
Do not buy this leather hammer. It is poorly made and not at all worth the time to even order it, let alone worth the money charged. The fit and finish are absolute garbage quality. Does not look like the picture provided when ordering. Total disappointment. Returned immediately.

Loose hammer head
The head of the hammer was loose so I sent it back and ordered a second one. While not as loose as the first one, it was still too loose for accuracy. I swallowed the cost and ordered from a different company
