Wall Ceiling Mount for Sonos One/One SL Speaker Mounting Bracket Tilt & Swivel 180° Adjustable Mounts for Best Audio Sonos Accessories, (Single White)

I used this item to hang two Play 1 speakers from my ceiling to complete a Sonos theater surround sound system. To do so I installed two plugs in the ceiling and ordered two 12" power cables (only one showed up, second in backorder). One nice thing about the design is that I was able to hang the Play 1 speaker upside down or inverted so you don't see the bottom of the metal bracket and the plug etc... This way you see the more attractive top of the speaker. Another note about this setup. The Play 1 speakers, like most speakers are HEAVY, especially when hung on an extension arm. I didn't feel comfortable hanging this from drywall alone so we climbed into the crawl space and added a wood cross brace to mount the bracket for total comfort that the speaker will not pull out when retained by drywall alone.The unit depending on how you decide to hang the can be a bit confusing initially but spend a bit of time "dry assembling" the bracket should answer your questions prior to install.The one issue I did have is that the small screw that you tighten to hold the speaker on to the post and also hold the correct angle for speaker projection is made out of cheap material and we easily stripped the phillips head on both mounts. One stripped with the speaker in the proper orientation and the other stripped before properly orienting the Play 1. Since there is no email or customer service number on the packaging & instruction sheet at some point I will venture to Home Depot and try to find a replacement stainless steel screw to replace both factory screws.The one speaker pointing down at a weird angle is the one that I installed the 1 foot power cable and the stripped screw. Overall mostly satisfied with the results with that single exception.

Easy to install, looks good, and allows for versatile mounting positions.

Happy to find a product that does what the brand does but for well over 1/2 the prices. Thank you!

If you are mounting against a false wall, make sure the hole you have for the cabling is big enough.
