No indication on my knife. We were cutting brush last week and my son hit a concrete block by accident and a 1.5" long by 1/2" deep chunk of metal broke off the knife. Steel does not seem to be of the quality I remember S&W knives being when I was a kid. Not sure, but probably some typically crappy Chinese steel based on performance.
