This is not your typical book that summarizes the war events. It is an analysis of the various strategies that Israel could have employed and it looks for faults and possible benefits for these alternative strategies. The book is exceptionally well researched. The author spoke with dozens of high ranking officers and politicians that were involved in this war. That impressive list includes Henry Kissinger.

A very detailed account of Sinai in 1973. Some parts are repetitive & the author clearly has an agenda. Very critical of Israel's muddled & poorly thought out plans & application of those plans. Lots of details on units I'd never seen before.
