Wonderful
This is excellent, my hands are too stiff to use the other types of can opener so this is perfect. Great gadget and easy to use, not fiddly, big and chunky to hold and opens cans without as much effort.

Dose not work on some cans
We have always had this type of can opener and as our current ones were old I bought 2 new ones from Amazon. However these did not work well - the handles did not seem to close properly at the bottom and cosequently the device did not catch hold of the tin properly. This meant that the device did not work. I tried both - but it seems to be a design fault. I was surprised that the new ones cannot open a tin of salmon - but the 20 year old one can (wit ha little effort).What's going on?

A can opener that works.
We seemed to be cursed with useless can openers, even after paying good money for what should be quality items. This can opener however works and well worth the money.
