Pixies Best Of Piano, Vocal and Guitar Chords

No guitar tabs
Has guitar, piano and vocal for a dozen of their songs. No tabs. It’s a great book, but makes me wish someone would do this for the rest of their songs!

Accurate
Decent. Accurate, except Memphis is in the wrong key. Only real complaint is that many hits are missing. No Mutilation, no Gouge, no Cactus, no Euphrates, no U-Mass

sadly mistaken
NOT a tab book, has the fret guide but not the tabs. I searched pixies tabs and this came up so I guess you could say it was my own fault. I'm very disapointed. Plus it doesn't have caribou (my favorite song) and that is disapointing as well. All in all it's a nice looking book, I was just exspecting tabs. Most of the books of this nature I've purchased had tabs as well as notes. I'm going to keep it and hopfully I'll be able to listen to the songs and mudle through useing the fret guide.

Pixies on Piano is kind of weird
I don't know what I was thinking. The Pixies are one of my favorite bands, but as you can imagine, they are not really a "piano band." You have to be pretty dedicated to hammer out all the redundant notes written here. I like it for the lyrics, and if I do sing along in my crummy voice, I can hear what was intended. I wish there were some color pictures within. Maybe I'd have added another star if there were some.

Not tablature!
Disappointed when I found out it was just chord boxes!! I guess if you can read music it's ok..I didn't notice the "Piano/Vocal/Guitar" in the top left corner! Bummer!

Disappointed
Not very elegant arrangements. Very clumsy and not fun to play. Love their music but not in the way they were adapted

Great songs included, but no guitar tablature
We all love the Pixies, so any musician wanting to play their tracks for themselves will have high expectations of any book that will help them make a good job of it.This book has 12 of the tracks you'd expect within 66 sides of sheet music. Tracks include Bone Machine, Debaser, Gigantic, Monkey Gone To Heaven, Where Is My Mind, and Velouria.Good Points:1. Music is clearly written;2. Book is thick enough to have a flat, glued spine rather than just folded and stapled;3. Has the main tracks that you'd expect;4. It contains lyrics.not so good points:1. It hasn't got guitar tab! For a guitar based band! All it has is chord diagrams above the sheet music;2. When it comes to guitar solos, the score just says in writing "guitar solo". Nothing more than that!3. If you play piano / keyboards and can read sheet music (above beginner level), you'll be OK, because the music has been interpreted for piano. It'll get you beyond the starting point from which you can embellish / make your own interpretations of the tracks. In summary:This should have been a guitar tab book (loses 2 stars for not being), but if you're a pianist, it's great for putting a new twist on one of the best guitar based bands ever.

Great book, but too small!
This is a great book, I have only had it a week and have enjoyed playing the songs in it. However, though i love this book it doesn't have that many songs in it so it oly gets 4 stars instead of 5.
