Worked for the unintended
I bought this to protect my couch from my 2 month old kitten. He liked to scratch a particular part of the couch (bottom of the chaise). The adhesive wasn’t strong enough for the material of my couch, so I used the little twisty things and they were terrible. Like previous reviews, the plastic part would just break off. It took a lot of thumb strength to force them into my couch. Eventually my cat grew out of his scratching phase after I adopted a little sister for him to occupy his time. Removing the twists was even more difficult. I’m so glad I didn’t waste my time applying this to my entire couch because it probably would have left more damage than if I just let my cat have his way. In the end, both my kittens love to sun bathe next to the window and if I leave it open, they like to crawl and scratch at the screen. So I applied just the plastic portion to the screen and it adhered very well. We’ll see if dust and bugs get stuck to it tho. All in all, the price wasn’t horrible but I probably won’t buy this again.

Works but not like you think
This isn’t “tape”. These are clear plastic sheets that require tacks to secure them. I have a faux leather chair and they didn’t stick at all. I can’t imagine cloth. It comes with tacks to adhere them. They work and the cat stopped clawing the sides, after trying to pull them off.

Not exactly what I wanted, does the job
They barely have adhesive on them, so you definitely need to use the pins to make them stay. Which doesn't really help if you're trying to adhere it to the side of the couch with thick wood supports. Maybe you could use a staple gun with these, but I don't have one. Unexpected pro: My cats really liked playing with the bag of pins. Predictable con: They really really hurt to step on.

A plus
They didn’t stick to my couch very well but the size is good.I think I got like twelve sheets total. I left them on so my cat wouldn’t tear the couch and I think just the fact that there was something there in general deterred him from scratching up the couch.Overall good product, the adhesive might not have stuck because of my couch material but either way it protected my couch. Hes a scratcher too.

Make sure you get the one with the pushpins.
I put this product on the arms of my sofas, if it wasn’t for the pushpins that came with it it would’ve popped off. The only reason I don’t care is because my cat has already semi-ruined part of my sofa, I’m just training her to leave it alone. Someday I would like to get a new sofa and I don’t want her to ruin it.

Amazing cat scratch tape, Amazing Product and Experience!
Truthfully, I never write reviews, but considering that I'm on my third couch since I got my cats, this product deserved a review. I have two kitties who I am madly in love with, and I had gotten to the point where I considered declawing because they've completely ruined two brand new couches. I just bought my first home and knew I'd be getting some new furniture, so I started looking for options in hopes that I wouldn't have to replace ANOTHER couch. I've had the shields on for a week and the new couches remain scratch-free. I covered the seating part of the couch with fleece blankets that match the color of the couch, and I'm very pleased that my new furniture is protected.

Great product and investment for your furniture
This product is verily easy to use. It is very sticky but a test fit before you cut and apply is wise. You can then use the peeled paper to push down the tape to make it contour to your piece. If anything of color comes into contact with it like blue jeans, the blue color will be transferred to the tape. You can wipe it off with a Clorox wipe and it maintains its stickiness. Cats have kept a wide berth around it because if they try to touch it, they hate the sticky feeling. So far almost one week in and cats have not touched the furniture. Well worth the price

Very short term fix
It didn’t stay attached to the chairs and tacks left holes . Would be an awesome fix if the adhesive would last longer
