You simply cannot go wrong with McVitie's Penguins. They are an absolute staple in our household and have been for years. This 6-pack is the absolute perfect size for a standard working week; it gives you one individual bar for each weekday lunchbox, plus an extra one left over for a weekend treat.The quality is exactly as delicious as I remember from childhood. You get a really satisfying crunch from the inner chocolate biscuit layers, a smooth cream filling, and a surprisingly generous coating of thick milk chocolate on the outside. They have the ideal balance of textures and aren't sickeningly sweet, making them an excellent mid-afternoon pick-me-up at the office or a post-school snack for the kids.They are also brilliant for dunking into a hot cup of tea or coffee because the chocolate melts beautifully without the whole biscuit immediately collapsing into the mug. Each bar is individually wrapped, which keeps them completely fresh until you're ready to eat them and makes them incredibly easy to grab on your way out the door. Plus, reading the classic, silly jokes printed on the back of the wrapper is still a lovely little tradition that puts a smile on your face.Ordering them through Amazon is incredibly convenient. The price point is often better than my local corner shop, and the expiry dates are always well into the future, so there is no rush to eat them.
