Avalon Organics Shampoo, Volumizing Rosemary, 11 Oz

I have an oily scalp, so I used to wash my hair every day. I came across this shampoo in recommendations and decided to order a small size to try it out. The shampoo turned out to be very economical — it lasted me for quite a long time. I really liked the shampoo. I have straight, fine, and soft hair, and it didn’t negatively affect the quality of my hair at all. At the same time, my scalp started getting oily much more slowly, and now I wash my hair once every two days. After that, I didn’t hesitate to order the shampoo in a larger size. The shampoo has a pleasant herbal scent that doesn’t linger on the hair, so you can easily use your favorite hair care products after washing.

Have thick hair and a cranky scalp all winter. Me and my daughter both. Very picky about synthetic chemicals and intense fragrance. This product was very neutral smell wise and solved my 6 month dandruff problem in 3 days. Portions were great for the price.

I love this product and the others offered by this company. I also have the shower gel and I use it every day. It’s mild on my skin and doesn’t make me itch as others I’ve tried. I like the fragrance too, in that it’s mild rather than over powering.

I have been on a many year quest to find orginic, biodegradable, effective shampoo that does not dry out my scalp. I have used a different shampoo each time over many years and continue to try new sample brands. I have found only two shampoos as my main go to.... Aveno and Avalon Organics. Both are effective shampoos with decent scents for a man. Leaves my hair soft, clean, smelling great. I also have fine hair so strengthening and thickness boosts are nice, but in all honesty over all brands I have ever used those features are barely noticable to non-existent. The price for Avalon is a good value, as is Aveno. Both dry my scalp the least of any I have ever tried, but Aveno is slightly better. So, great product, will continue to buy it.

Great suds & great smell after I shower with this one. A little goes a long way and there’s no toxic chemicals in this shampoo so that’s great.

I've tried the Revitalizing Lavender and Clarifying Lemon shampoo and they both are great! My hair feels squeaky clean and so soft a conditioner isn't necessary. Highly recommend!

I did too much castor oil treatment which ended up feeding the bacteria on my scalp which gave me a bad rash and overgrowth of skin cells. it was terrible. I didn't know what to do, but after chatgpt advise i ended up researching diff ingredient and this shampoo came up with the ingredients i was searching for; After a few washes my scalp went back to normal. No more itchiness or flakes ")

I used this shampoo for years, and loved it. I discovered it at Trader Joe's, and I kept buying it after they stopped carrying it. Unfortunately, some years ago the formulation of it changed. Over the years they have changed the formulation a few times to make it more sustainable, but this most recent time, around 4-5 years ago, it was made thinner and more jelly-like in texture. I hated it. I needed to use much more of it to wash my hair, so I felt like I was getting less value for my money. At the same time, the price of it has been increasing over the years. It used to be $6 and now it is often over $10 in stores and only slightly cheaper on Amazon. Well, I called the company to complain about the new texture, and I was floored when the rep I was talking to told me that the company had not changed the formulation. I thought, maybe I had gotten a bad batch? They gave me a coupon to get one for free, so I got it, and tried it again, and it was the same, the thin, jelly-like texture unlike the old texture which was more like normal shampoo. I called in again and the person on the phone was not helpful. Again they said that the product had not been reformulated, which I think is a lie because I have used this for years and I'm not going crazy, it was a completely different texture from all those years I used it. I am not willing to support a company that lies to its customers and especially not when they're doing something shady, like making the product thinner so you need to use more of it and go through it faster, thus buying it more often, while they are simultaneously raising the price. That is shady as all get out. So yeah, not only have I switched brands, I am now highly wary of anything owned by the Hain Celestial Group. I don't trust this company, and from researching it online, this shampoo is NOT the only story I have found of them doing things that are shady and unethical, putting their own profit above the well-being of their customers and the value of their products. So yeah, this company alienated a once loyal customer by taking a great shampoo, reformulating it, and lying about it. Shame on them. And please do not buy any products sold by that group. They cannot be trusted.
