Backyard Garden Pros H50VW Do It All Prohoe Rogue Garden Hand Tool

I received my order very promptly and with packing and wrapping tight enough to ensure no sharp edge would be exposed. Getting it unwrapped, however, required very careful peeling and pulling, to avoid having my fingers be the first thing "dug" by this heavy duty tool. It has a sturdy welded construction with steel thick enough to do the intended duty, with a secure, thick wooden handle that fits the hand well. As I examined the tool, I realized that all of the beveled edges had burrs which would probably wear off eventually with use, but bothered me. I think the finish tooling of USA made implements, for which I am willing to pay a higher price, should at least meet or exceed that of imported items. I used a diamond hand sharpener to take off the burrs and smooth the edges, and also drilled a hole in the end of the handle to fasten a cord for hanging up the tool in the same fashion as my other garden hand tools. Now, it looks as if it will have a long service life as a "do-it-all" garden helper.

I haven't used it yet, but it's heavy and it looks like it will live up to the good reviews. There are only 2 reasons I didn't give it 5 stars: because I wish it had a plastic cover for the hoe part because it is so sharp, and because I can't tell how the metal part of the hoe is attached to the wood handle and I'm a bit concerned that it might come apart.I'm looking forward to using it for a lot of heavy-duty weeding!

This is a quality made product that is unlike any other hand tool I have for my garden. All of the edges are sharpened and its made of high grade steel. You can cultivate, chop in an edge, break up clods, create a furrow or dig out stubborn weeds. This is not my first Rogue hoe product and probably wont be my last. It's worth the extra investment than you would pay for an inferior product. Made in USA. If it wasn't I wouldn't have bought it.

Innovative design and very useful tool. Good balance. Very very sharp unlike most hand tools like this. I have been a gardener for many years and never found this excellent hand hoe. Highly recommended. Does the job and some. Breaks up clods easily--cuts right through the, I acquired this at the end of gardening season 2014 and can't wait to use it in 2015.

Pricey but you get what you pay for here. For me an excellent tool to deal with the inevitable weeds that come up in the pots on the patio. Also will prove very helpful in the middle of the summer when the ground gets hard in that it is so sharp, the weeds will shear off lickety-split. Versatile for planting/prepping the soil in spring too.

Another great garden tool by Rogue. This is a little bit larger than your standard hand hoe. As with all Rogue products it's built very tough. To me Rogue Tools are in a class by themselves. If you want an excellent American made tool, this is one for you. A word of caution as with all Rogue tools, this thing is very sharp and care should be used.

I love this tool!! It takes much less effort to hack through roots and dig up heavy weeds than other hoes. It is very sharp and has a heavy blade. It is an investment that will last a very long time and save time and effort. Well worth the extra money compared to other tools.

Bought this after seeing other positive reviews online, and so far, I've very pleased. It's heavy duty, but well balanced. It's also sharp! I'm glad the vendor sent a message about the sharpness, because if I hadn't read it, it'd be pretty easy to injure oneself. (In case you are wondering, you do want the tool sharp - it makes hoeing through soil a lot easier.)
