Great read to inspire Catholics of the vital role they play in the defense of the Faith in a world losing faith.
I liked how Fulton Sheen compares and contrasts the behavior of the world to the desire of its Creator in such a clear and simple manner.His advice on understanding the foundational treasure of the Catholic Church is timeless and as pertinent today as it was in the days of his writing, if not more.I would highly recommend reading all of Fulton Sheens works as I would other great apologist of the past such as CS Lewis and Chesterton, and emerging Catholic voices of today such as Mathew Kelly.

It's Archbishop Fulton Sheen - wonderful
Nothing beats a great Catholic lecture than one from Archbishop Fulton Sheen. He is a master orator and theologian.

Prophetic book
Sheen’s writing is always clear and readable. You would believe that he’s alive and observing what’s happening in the world right now. His intellect and deep spirituality allowed him to see far into the future as is evident in this book. Everyone should read this!

Great thinkers cannot be categorized by the -ism they follow. If you’re put off by the emphasis on religion in the authors work here, then maybe reading great thinkers isn’t for you at all. This work can be interpreted outside of the realm of religion and into our cultural transitions today.

This book will astonish you, not because it was written yesterday but because it was written in 1931
This book was written in 1931 and you would think it was written yesterday. Somethings don't change no matter what the age we live in. As always Bishop Sheen cut everything to a size we can intellectually chew on. Don't miss this one if you are a Sheen fan.

A must read!
This is an incredible and still timely book! But of course the truth never changes. This is the first book I have read for Archbishop Fulton Sheen. It won't be the last. A must read for all the faithful. Deacon Mitch

A Vintage Book that Says a Lot About Today
Written in 1931, this small volume reads like it was ripped from today's headlines. Abp. Sheen was a magnificent writer, and his specialty was putting complex ideas into words that any half-way intelligent person can understand.

The book is everything anyone understanding Fulton J. Sheen, couldn't possibly be disappointed. Wonderful for daily meditation and contemplation. I enjoy the writings of Fulton J. Sheen so it fits right into my morning readings.
