Had high hopes for this unit as we do a lot of gopro recording of our girls softball games. We generally mount the gopro on the backstop on chain link, and then position the lens in towards the field to record the entire field in the gopros wide angle.Why do I merely "like it" as opposed to "love it"? Well, in short...cheap. Made of plastic and very light weight. The joint below the mount platform is completely made of plastic so the screws that you tighten with are ....yup, you guessed it...plastic. So, I could not tighten the head down very well or it felt like it would strip. Then, the limited movement causes the ball joint to pop out of the top of the top of the unit consistently as you try to position the camera. THIS IS NOT a gorilla grip or anything even REMOTELY similar in function.The first game was recording and when a ball hit the chain link the head gimbal (because you cannot tighten it down due to ...PLASTIC!) would be loose and the camera shift behind the actual metal in the chain link. Unnoticeable until AFTER you look at the video at home, as GoPro doesn't allow live preview. So, essentially we missed more than half the game and go recording of a metal link.In the past I had used a simply clip and a bungie cord stretched across the chain link. Never had an issue with lens getting dumped on ball contact with chain link. I'm going back to my original McGyver design.

This is way more than a regular tripod. It can seriously be placed anywhere with those bendy, grippy legs! This is so great! No messing with adjustable legs that are a headache to level, you can simply place this anywhere and bend the legs and position your camera with the swivel base. The slot to place your phone is completely safe for your phone with the rubber grips, nothing gets scratched or damaged. Super secure. Now I can set the timer and take some nice family pictures when there isn't anyone around to help, or even videos where I don't need to hold my phone. Ingenious design. This is a decent tripod for the money. I have used it so far only with my Go Pro but have mounted it upright, sideways, and upside down with great success. The legs are very posable which helps get any angle. The only drawback is the pivot ball doesn't tighten very much and the legs pop out of the joint sometimes. They pop right back in but it can be a minor annoyance.

Works exactly as it should. Use it with a Sony AS200 action cam and it works great. The only time that I've has any issues is when the camera is docked in the LCD handheld attachment that makes it function like a normal camera with a flip out screen. The swivel ball has trouble getting tight enough to hold the weight since the 1/4" mount is at the rear end of the camera so the lens end gets enough leverage to overcome the ball. Otherwise it's great. The legs flex easily and even hold firm on smooth pipe. The phone holder was also a nice bonus!

The tripod worked well for a short while but after a few uses and bending the legs around, one of them broke. They are made pretty cheap so don't bend them too much.

I really enjoy this product I have a iPhone 6+ and it holds it well. Not to flimsy like the other one I brought. Love the feel of it and can with hold a fall.

Absolutely Loved this product before it broke!!! Obviously this isn't a product that you use every day so for it to break after what I call minimum use(Maybe 7 times Max) is ridiculous. Like I said, I loved it but it turned out to be a product that doesn't last unfortunately. Buy with Caution!

Taking my GOMA tripod on a trip to use with my iPhone6plus. I love how lightweight it is. Will give fuller review after testing it out "in the field"!
