Chocolate to Die For (Chocoholic Mystery)

I always enjoy books by J. Carl. I love to cook, I love chocolates, and I love to read. So What's not to like.

Love this series

This book contains books #4 The Chocolate Puppy Puzzle, and #5 The Chocolate Mousetrap, in the Chocoholic Mystery series. This is a very enjoyable series, and an easy read. I have read them all twice and now I am trying to collect the entire series. This book was a very reasonable way for me to get 2 of the books in the series. I look forward to the next new book in the series.

Carl writes a tighly organized story. There's just enough background to explain some of the activity in the story without including everything that has taken place in every previous book in the series. She includes detail where needed and assumes that the reader can remember them when important. I've read every book in the series and recommended them to a friend who is a very fussy reader.

I was so looking forward, to what I thought was a new Chocolate Mystery by JoAnna Carl, only to find, once I had received it, Chocolate To Die For is just two of her older books in one volume. I have all her Chocolate Mysteries so I do not need this repeat and it is going to be mailed back. I guess reading the fine print is very important and I will be much more careful in the future!!!

I finally ordered this 2 in 1 and I'm so glad I did! I love these books, and Love having this addition to my library They are fun reading, especially with your favorite chocolate treat!

The tidbits about chocolate are fun to know. I read the CHOCOLATE CASTLE CLUE, and enjoyed so much, I've started reading all of them.

Learned to check book descriptions - I didn't and ended up with a supposedly new book only to find 2 old books wrapped up with a new title. What can I add to this - RIP OFF - crummy way to sell books and it is happening more and more. Descriptions need to be CLEAR about this up front so we can put our book money in books we haven't already read!!

Excellent as I have always found this writer's work it is a pity that the fact that this book contains two previously published books was not made more evident. Once again I find myself with two copies of each book and am not at all happy about it.
