The Apprehensive Gardener: Managing Garden Plants

My husband wasn’t sure about this book at first but now it’s his main guide and he wouldn’t be without it - the title doesn’t do it justice - not just for those new to gardening

This is a delight to use. The page edges are colour coded for ease to search through the months. There is also an excellent chart at the end of the book that tells you when the plants will need attention.The information is well set out and a delight to read with excellent advice.

This book is the work of a genius! I love the conversational style, reading some of the entries for April and May feels like having your best gardening friend by your side. I have been anxious about a couple of plants this week and have vastly reassured by the advice given. Many many thanks Griselda

I bought this for a friend who is new to gardening, so this book is exactly what she needs.

This is the very best gardening reference book that I have ever found. A month by month guide to what needs doing with an excellent index so that you can refer to a specific plant and know what you have to do to get it to perform its best. It’s so good that I have recently given copies to four of my very best gardening friends! I could not recommend this more highly! Indispensable.
